Mayweather didn't have to fight Mosley. He could have opted for a fight with Paul Williams, Kermit Citron, Winky Wright, Andre Berto, or Yuri Foreman. Shane Mosley is not the only option he had. Mosley just happened to be the guy that Mayweather could make the most money fighting at this time next to Pacquiao. Not only will Mayweather make in excess of 20 million but he stands a chance to become a world champion again. Money and belts are Mayweather's main motivators for boxing. Mayweather doesn't have a boxing style that needs to display he's the toughest but he does have a style that displays he's hard to beat. I would be willing to bet you that if he beats Mosley and adds another belt to his collection, he will sit back and see how things turn out against Cotto and Foreman. If Cotto is successful and beats Foreman, Mayweather will go after him to get yet again another 20 million plus pay day and belt. It's all about strategy. There is too much money to be made to be scared.

Mosley is going to lose this fight mostly because of his foot work
and his wide swings. Mosley is too open and swings too wide for
a fast counter puncher. Also, as the fight goes on, Mosley tends
to get a lil tired and sluggish. If Mosley's target is not there for
him to throw them big power shots he will get out boxed. Sure
I give Shane a chance but am riding with Floyd on this one but
what a great fight it should be.

Hey man, not too many people get how things work or see
the big picture. Glad you do though because Floyd is a strategic
person and always comes out on top. I conduct business with
many different industries and everything is about planning and

Larry Holmes didn't lack a personality he just came behind Ali and that was a hard bill to follow. In terms of ability, Holmes was equal with a better jab and more natural power. I watched many of those Homes fights and he fought wars in the ring against all comers.
