I am not at all into the business side of boxing, but I agree that Paul needs to take a slightly less cut of the money. Get your name up. Having a shot to beat Pavlik is all he needs to continue to elevate himself in stature. PW is that DUDE, but he should keep earning his stripes. I personally think he's accomplished more than Kelly, but the way it is right now is Kelly is the bigger name.

If he gets busy this fight he can easily move on to biggest and better things. He needs this as a stepping stone, even if he takes a smaller cut.

Pavlik doesn't want PWill. How long has it been since Pavlik last faught? He will lose.

Don't be surprised if this fight gets canceled again.

After two consecutive fights at middleweight, Williams plans to drop down to either junior middleweight or welterweight. Former champions Kermit Cintron and Luis Collazo continue to be mentioned as the frontrunner opponents for the May date. [Click Here To Read More]
Pavlik Vs Williams will be a very interesting fight

At MW is the biggest money fight that can be made. They can keeping on fighting other fighters for less money and risk loosing or they can fight each other. Neither fighter has more pull than the other but Pavlik is the champ.

I'd let Pavlik see if he can make it through a training camp with Martinez. And if Pavlik makes it through the training camp with no injuries and beats Martinez, then Williams needs to back off his 50-50 demand and revisit the negotiations of the fight. The only bad thing about that is it makes it look like Pavlik is doing some of Paul's dirty work by fighting Martinez to a lot of people. And that's understandable. And the Greatest mentioned earlier that Williams should face Dzinziruk and I agree. He's a better fighter than Cintron and Collazo.
