Williams already proved he was serious about fighting Pavlik. Pavlik is the one that pulled out. People like you have it twisted as if Williams was the one that killed the fight.

I love Pwill but I thought Martinez beat him and if he is fighting Pavlik I don't think Pwill should be getting a bigger cut then him. Pwill is no longer the most feared fighter Plain and Simple.
Boxing is a business and Pavlik hasn't done **** since beating Jermaine Taylor while Williams has been taking on top fighters. And Pavlik is not the big draw that you and his fans like to fantasize about. If I was Williams I would ask for 50/50 just like they are doing. Pavlik pulled out twice and I personally think he faked it and I don't care what he or his fans think. The guy fought 2 weeks after he supposedly was in danger of losing his hand. BS. Williams and his team deserves insurance. Also, you are not a Williams fan so I don't know why you're pretending to be. Get real.

What does that have to do with my post?

We're not talking about when they were supposed to fight back before Pavlik fought Hopkins.

We're not talking about when they were supposed to fight toward the end of last year, when Pavlik had a staph infection.

We're talking about right now and Paul Williams is not serious about fighting him if he's still asking for 50/50.

        Period. End of story.

Maybe Pavlik is not serious about fighting Paul Williams. It sure seems that way.

If Williams is serious about fighting Pavlik for the Middleweight Championship of the World why is he dropping back down to the Jr Middle division? Why does he not stay in the Middleweight division and earn a title shot by fighting a few top middleweights instead of fighting mostly old and over the hill overweight career Jr. Middleweights? And I have to ask how is Williams regarded so high at Middleweight to be ranked #2 by Ring Magazine? When in reality all he has done in the division is ask for to much money. And to think that I use to have mad respect for the Ring rankings and now it seems that all you have to do is almost fight the champ and you end up ranked 2nd in the world by the Ring.

No challenger gets a 50-50 split, and they know that. Hopefully they're just trying to negotiate to 60-40, because a 75-25 split in the champs favor is not unheard of.
