Twice it was scheduled and twice it was postponed. Kelly Pavlik vs. Paul Williams could very well become one of those fights, like Lennox Lewis vs. Rid**** Bowe, that never actually happens. Williams' promoter Dan Goossen is still working to secure an opponent for his fighter's next HBO televised date of May 8. After two consecutive fights at middleweight, Williams plans to drop down to either junior middleweight or welterweight. Former champions Kermit Cintron and Luis Collazo continue to be mentioned as the frontrunner opponents for the May date. [Click Here To Read More]

blah blah blah. Goosen knows Williams isn't bringing in 50% of the money to the fight, and so does everyone else. Ask for your fair share, Pavlik's the bigger draw and the champ. If they want to be paid for the money that went into promoting the cancelled fights, that's another story. But don't use Pavlik's past injury as some sort of leverage for demanding half of the money against a fighter who is a much more attractive name financially speaking.Comment

Goosen if you thought your boy could win you would accept a 60/40 split in favor of pavlik. Not saying its right but pavlik is the bigger name, has the bigger fan base and has the titles. Take a lower cut if you think Pwill can win cause it would be the biggest fight of his career. Martinez is man enough to take the fight and what percentage do you think he is getting. I love Pwill but I thought Martinez beat him and if he is fighting Pavlik I don't think Pwill should be getting a bigger cut then him. Pwill is no longer the most feared fighter Plain and Simple.Comment

Yeah as long as Williams is asking for 50%, he's not serious about fighting Pavlik.blah blah blah. Goosen knows Williams isn't bringing in 50% of the money to the fight, and so does everyone else. Williams does deserve a decent share of the pie. He may not be a marquee name, but neither is Pavlik. Both of them are HBO regulars, so it comes down to one guy holding the prize. Pavlik deserves to be paid as the champ. Make it 55-45 and get it over with.Comment
