We've agreed to the Ortiz fight, and if nothing else presents itself then thats who Nate will fight on May 15. But a Bradley fight would mean a lot more. So if a Bradley fight could be made, Nate would rather do that instead of Ortiz, because beating Ortiz doesnt really mean anything in the big picture. But the final decision is up to Golden Boy. All we can do is make them aware of our preference, which we have. And if they can work something out with Shaw, they will. Otherwise we move forward with Ortiz.
At this point Nate should just go for the bigger money(whichever one is it)/

He won titles, been there, done that.At his age he needs the money, titles don't pay bills.

Would a Casamayor rematch be any interest?

Well he has not lost a fight since his win against Funeka. The Bradley fight was a NC on paper.

Nate couldnt get Casamayor to fight him when he had 3 lightweight titles. I dont think theres much, if any, interest in that fight at this point. That ship has probably already sailed.

He looked me dead in the face and said "this kid cant beat me. get me the rematch". He also said "look, its probably gonna take me 4 or 5 rounds to start really touching him, but when I do, he's gonna go".

So with the conviction in his voice, I believe him. He knows he can beat Bradley. He just thinks he needs both eyes to do it. lol

Edit: The only other fighter I know of personally who continued with a similar eye injury was Nate's friend Jaime Palma. He ended up with a destroyed retina and can no longer fight.
yea but he said that about robbie peden. so have fun at unemployment.

Why should Bradley get the advantage of fighting a one-eyed fighter due to his own foul? And are 12 round fights now determined by only how the first 2 rounds go? And OF COURSE Nate had to tell his cornerman that he couldnt see. The cutman is not an opthamologist, and he doesnt have x-ray vision. Just how was the cutman supposed to know about Nate's internal eye injury unless Nate told him.

And Nate is pissed because alot of people say ignorant things like "well Bradley was gonna win anyways", which is just ******. NOBODY knows how a 12 round fight will play out after only 2 rounds are completed. How did Taylor-Froch look after 2 rounds? Get my point?

They should just rematch. Plain and simple. Settle the issue in the ring. It isn't like Bradley has anything else on tap right now anyways.

And dont you find it odd that Nate is the one yelling for the rematch. If he truly felt "outgunned" and "looking for a way out", then calling for a rematch would be a bit strange, dont you think?
Scan the hospital report of Campbell suffering eye hemorrhage and share it with us. You can always black out his identity information excluding his name, his medical condition is not really a privacy issue since you freely disclosed it to several media outlets. Did you take any post-fight pictures of his face/eye? You can usually see red spots in the eye because of hemorrhage. I would think you did something like this in an effort to obtain proof after reading comments that same night about how Campbell quit/lied about his eye and was looking for a way out.

I took theater arts in college for 2 years, and to me it seemed like he felt he was being outclassed, was already going to get a paycheck, and wanted to live for another paycheck.

The injury was not visible to the naked eye. The "red spots" you refer to are usually from external abrasions or punctures. Nate had a vitreous hemorrage which is an internal blunt force trauma injury. Totally different.

All the medical records were disclosed at the commission hearing. The commission got everything they needed from the hospital and from their own ringside physician.

But I'm sure that YOU are MUCH more qualified to make that determination then they were. lol.
