you might have a point there. But unfortunately for Nate, fighters who start their careers at 28, dont have a notable amateur pedigree, have taken a few losses, and are getting up there in years, well they just dont get as much hype as they might like. Especially when they see younger guys like Khan who havent even fought anyone getting all the press.

Probably the same way someone like Al Green feels about guys like Lil Wayne.......lol

wow, what an intelligent thoughtful post.

Maybe you should just stick to ******* off to your avatars and leave the boxing analysis to the bigger kids.

I understand why he quit, but some fighters have fought through similar circumstances. But I am not is his shoes.

          That's what I mean too.
Believe me, I had that talk with Nate. I told him straight up that there was no shame in it if he just couldnt beat this kid. Mother Nature has her own timetable. I even told him if his body was giving out, that we could look for a few "safe" fights to stack him some cash, and move on, you know?

He looked me dead in the face and said "this kid cant beat me. get me the rematch". He also said "look, its probably gonna take me 4 or 5 rounds to start really touching him, but when I do, he's gonna go".

So with the conviction in his voice, I believe him. He knows he can beat Bradley. He just thinks he needs both eyes to do it. lol

Edit: The only other fighter I know of personally who continued with a similar eye injury was Nate's friend Jaime Palma. He ended up with a destroyed retina and can no longer fight.

I'm his advisor. He is promoted now by Golden Boy. The deal was signed in late December.

That's pretty cool. Any idea when Campbell-Bradley II might take place?

Yes, we are free of King for good. We made a deal for Golden Boy to buy out the remainder of Nate's contract with King back in December.

We've agreed to the Ortiz fight, and if nothing else presents itself then thats who Nate will fight on May 15. But a Bradley fight would mean a lot more. So if a Bradley fight could be made, Nate would rather do that instead of Ortiz, because beating Ortiz doesnt really mean anything in the big picture. But the final decision is up to Golden Boy. All we can do is make them aware of our preference, which we have. And if they can work something out with Shaw, they will. Otherwise we move forward with Ortiz.
