Bet people on his forum think God is overrated and past his prime (he's older than the universe, lol).

        • vs Ricky Hatton - 850k

        • vs Oscar De La Hoya - 2.4 mil

For people that say he's boring or "Nobody wants to see him fight such and such", 4.25 million people disagree!

-First things first. Let's get the excuses out of the way-

        "Mayweather was being carried"

-Really? By the guys he "cherry picked"??? Please show me where Marquez has done anything close to those kind of numbers.

"People only buy Mayweather PPV's to watch him lose."

-Lose to who? The guys people said were "cherry picked , tailor made" opponents? First they say, they're cherry picked, but you pay $50 to watch him lose to his "tailor made" oppenent?

"Those are dumb casual fans who pay to see him lose"

-No. Casual fans don't know enough about Mayweather to know about his bad guy persona and to want him to lose that badly...

Note: If you're buying FMJ ppv's to watch him lose, save your money.

Face it. People like to watch Mayweather and appreciate his style. They know they are watching greatness. For those who say Mayweather contradicts himself take a look in the mirrior. Ex:

Typical Floyd hater: Mayweather is boring to watch.

Casual fan: I like his skills. He's never been beat and has dominated his opponents.

Typical Floyd hater: Bull****! I scored the first Mayweather vs Castillo for Castillo. The Oscar fight could have gone either way! Judah had him in trouble in the early rounds.

^^^ Wait so he's boring but you took the time to watch those fights. All the way back to the JLC fight? lol. AND probably watched it more than once so you could score it right!?

Bottom line: You made Mayweather the star he is today

        "vs Ricky Hatton - 850k"

Manny was the one who did 850K against Ricky. Floyd did 915K against Ricky.

Agree with the TS... people don't just buy those fights to see floyd lose.

they would in a pac-may fight, sure. Because Floyd actually stands a chance of losing there. Thats why that **** would set record numbers. It would bring out the haters and the boxing appreciators. But against Hatton, Marquez? Nope. If people bought those fights expecting Floyd to lose, then they are dumbasses. Most people just bought them to see an ATG in action. Hate it or love it, smurfs

floyd fights incredible good, ppl who discredit him are mostly 15 years old, wet panties wearing pac fans, not fans of boxing.
ppv numbers shows this, just because he is hated by a bunch of internet ******s, doesnt mean his fights arent exciting

He is a star, but most people pay to see him lose.

Ask the casual fan if they wnat a refund for Oscar, most say yes.

Some casual fans even say JMM was boring.

I found Hatton and JMM fights good. Mayweather can show his quality when he has the advantage, but agaisnt someone big and good, he can't.

Even if he beats Mosely, he may look real bad to the normal fan and it may kill the PPV's for Pac VS him.

On the other hand, if Pac destroys Clottey, which I doubt, then casual fans may feel that Pac has a chance to beat Floyd and it may boom because he is the last hope.

That being said, the promotion into all fights were pretty damn big.

Bottom line is whether people like him or not they still wanna see him fight. Even the Floyd haters want to see him fight. Like him or not he has managed to become a big draw.
