If Haye doesnt talk and promote the fight who would actually give a toss about the fight??? Its just a way to bring attention to the fight IMO.

Haye is living proof of the old adage "There's a sucker born every minute."If Haye only spent half as much time fighting as he does running his mouth we all may find out if he is indeed half as good as he believes he is. But, come on guys he has averaged one fight a year at heavyweight so do you really believe this fool is the savior of the division?
He's done NOTHING to justify the belief some people have in him as a heavyweight. Nothing at all. He hardly ever fights, and when he does, he's mediocre to bad.
Ruiz, no matter what country claims him, has a very good shot at winning this fight.Last edited by ChopperRead; 02-15-2010, 05:05 PM.Comment

Ruiz has changed his style since he got with a new team -- hard to believe, but true. He's trying to be more fan friendly and has been going for the KO.And that right there my friend is what made Ruiz a fighter that beat some pretty good fighters. You watch his fights and the guy clinches and smothers his opponents punches, so they think he is going to do that the whole fight, then out of nowhere he let's his hands go just when his opponent thought another clinche was comming, off gausrd and stunned. ****ty style but effective. But at his age, what does he have left.
We'll see if he sticks to his new style against Haye or reverts to the old huggy Ruiz we all know and (don't) love. I'm willing to give him a chance, at least.Comment

John Ruiz
Ruiz is 100% Puerto Rican and we do claim him in good times and bad times.
The ONLY heavy weight hispanic champ EVER, how can't you not support or claim that?
We are very proud of him, not as supportive, but claimed!
Dont be surprized if he gets crowned again against Haye.Comment

Even if Ruiz was born in the U.S. or PR, it doesn´t matter. In the U.S. they simply call you by your heritage. PRs are American citizens. Even Oscar de la Hoya was always a " Mexican ", even though he´s from L.A. I´m Mexican and I hope Ruiz defeats this black piece of crap. I´m also glad Ruiz was the first Hispanic world champ in the HW division. If we ( Latinos) had bigger guys, we would certainly have more champs in the HW division. Asians too.Comment
