i know this. i was trying to show that hatton is not a welterweight. im not saying its fine for hatton to have an advantage, im just showing that its always gotta be floyd with the advantage. we dont know what they weighed on fight night because mayweather always refuses to do so. wonder why?

It wasn't going to happen to begin with
This fight was never going to happen to begin with. Once the first part of the negotiations fell apart I knew it wasn't going to happen. These 2 fighters have too much pride and both of them is beyond arrogant. First Pacquiao doesn't except the terms from the first contract and used a simple drug test as an excuse to back out the fight. Now Floyd wants to do the drug test all the way up to the fight. That is ****** keep the 14 day cut off, so there won't be any excuses when you beat him. The money part I really can careless about, because Floyd would be champ by actually beating a champion at 147 and his ppv numbers are always bigger with common opponents.
Everyone try to look at the good side to this. Now neither fighter can continue to take on easy fights. They have to take dangerous opponents who has a chance of winning just to sell ppvs. Paul Williams, Berto, Martinez, Cintron, and etc...Comment

The point I'm trying to make is the one that I have been making through posting this whole thread, Hatton fought at 147 before and he and his trainer had NO problem going back to 147 to fight Mayweather.
You dissed Floyd for fighting Hatton at 147 saying Floyd should have fought him at Hatton's best weight. But you want to credit Manny for going up to 140 to fight Hatton, using what you said earlier, Hatton should have fought Manny at Manny's best weight, 130. But he didn't, Hatton made Pac move up to his divison to fight him, which was 140. Floyd made Hatton move up to his divison to fight him, which was 147. Oscar made Floyd move up to his divison to fight him, which was 154. This is boxing, it happens.

Really? So Pac needed Cotto (the biggest latin fighter in the world) to get 1.25 while PBF got over a million with Marquez who nobody outside of a true boxing fan knows? Pac/Oscar would have never did the numbers Oscar/PBF did because Oscar was coming off horrible performances when he fought Pac but was champion at 154 when he fought PBF the economy had nothing to do with it. Undefeated champion vs undefeated champion is always a huge event which is why PBF/Hatton was far bigger than Hatton/Pac. Floyd should've demanded 60/40 the first time. There shouldnt even be a conversation about anything less at this point. It's equally unfair to use the common opponent comparison due to how much has changed since FMJ and Pac fought their common opponents.
Pac's hugh surge in popularity after the DLH fight and his spectacular Hatton KO made him the hottest thing in boxing, especially after he confirmed he was moving up to such a competitive division.
He could have been a ***** and asked for more than 50-50 after the Cotto fight did better, but he didn't.Comment

I've seen many times Floyd's fight night weight on HBO.
Oscar had EVERY ADVANTAGE against Mayweather.
How you feel about that?
What advantages did he have against Hatton?
What advantages did Floyd have against Castillo I & II, Chico, Gernaro Hernandez, Manfredy, Jesus Chavez??Comment

he had 1 fight at the weight before, didnt look very good all be it he won a title.
im not really saying he should have fought hatton at his best weight. im saying he should have been fighting true welterweights. whilst billy wanted to move to 147 to face floyd, it is still clear that any welterweight would have had physical advantages over hatton. my main issue with that fight was the ref. im pretty certain it wouldnt have changed things much, but that ref didnt let hatton work, the millisecond hatton got on the inside the ref was straight in there.
with the hatton should have fought manny at his best weight, it looks pretty apparent that his best weight is nearly all the divisions!Comment
