I don't understand how anyone could vote for anything other than the first poll option. The 1993 fight was more meaningful. This rematch doesn't mean much to me as a fan of the sport, in fact I kinda wish it wasn't happening.

In 93, BHOP was the #1 contender and Roy the #2 contender for the IBF MW title.

Both young, mid 20's, and both their very first title fight.



NOW: Bernards Ranked #2 in the LHW division and #4 on the P4P List.

Roy isn't even ranked. On any list.

Its a totally irrelevant fight outside of Roy and Bernard's immediate circles and ego's.

I agree with those saying Bernard wasn't at his best back in 93, but neither was Jones. It was a fair matchup at the time.
