No way Floyd would have been able to take Tony out the way SSM did....also what if Roger didn't check Tony's wraps the way Richardson did?

I also still question Floyd's chin too, not saying its bad I just have no idea how well he can take a solid punch from a world class WW with pop.

Even if Marg wasn't doing much damaged Floyd would be moving away and not creating much offense it could be close because Marg's aggression while Floyd is in full retreat could influence scoring in some rounds but Marg is a slow starter so Floyd could probably bank enough early and coast late to avoid damage and still win.

Well actually he fought Baldomir instead, apparently for the same amount of money. The Oscar fight wasn't until later.


Floyd would've beaten Tony, of that there little doubt, but it would've been a lot tougher fight than Baldomir, of that there is no doubt.

You make some good points. No way Floyd would stop or even slow down Marg, so I could see a close fight with Floyd winning. Marg truly doesnt have that great of power either, and Floyd has shown a good enough chin to take a few shots. It's not like he would be getting hit all fight long.

Yeah, he would not take a beating like Cotto did because Floyd's defense is too good and he unlike Cotto is comfortable fighting on the backfoot.
