yeah it's a really played out, over done argument that just boils the blood of some hardcore boxing fans.

and you'd think for a "Dead/Dying sport" boxing sure seems to be coming up a lot, lol.

        and she's dead, she's dead

If boxing should die before I wake
I'll put an extended clip inside of my AK
Roll to every station, murder the DJ

LAS VEGAS, May 12 - The game is over, but at least it went out with a **** last Saturday night. You don't have to attend the funeral to know boxing is dead when a fight lives up to all the hype ever imagined and still can't sell 5,000 tickets.

You don't have to shovel dirt on the game when a heavyweight "champion" loses his title because of steroids and it's not mentioned on the lead-in to SportsCenter.

Outside of the sicko fans wearing out web site mail bags, no one cares. Boxing has become as relevant as Don King's shampoo. It's not going to be brought back from the dead this weekend when a guy named Tito fights a guy named Winky.

It's time to stop and smell the rotting.

It's almost enough to make someone want to spit out his mouthpiece."-maxboxing.com

This is a quote from the beginning of Michael Katz article talking about boxing being dead. Do you feel the sport is dead? I don't

Well that article is 3 years old and since then boxing has had the biggest PPV in it's history and several multi-million dollar fights every year, so I guess if it's dead then it's making more money dead than Tupac.

The 2 main things killing boxing is that the old veterans feel they need to contiunue fighting and they feel if they don't, boxing will die.

Meanwhile, theyre not promoting the young lions of the sport, its all PPV.

But the commentators aren't corrupting the sport though.
