Floyd is the biggest draw in boxing. If you actually think everyone who buys his fights want to see him lose you are mistaken homie.

      They pay to see:

      A. Floyd lose
      B. Floyd get his ass kicked

      Thats it.
They're going to continue to be dissapointed then

They're also incredibly ****** if they buy PPV's to see a guy lose

      never understood that

Not reading all that, but I assume mainstream fans is supposed to mean casual fans. In that case, they make the sport rich, but certainly not due to their "knowledge" about Floyd or any other fighter. They only know the big names. They don't think to break down fights. And they just buy whatever the fuck the promoters tell them to buy during hype/ad spots.

                  Status is important

Being the best boxer in the world is a BIG selling point nowadays

you know, its cool to be a fan of someone. Its cool to stick up for a guy, but come the **** on guys. Enough of this bull****. Why are you guys act so naive when it comes to Floyd? I mean first its "Floyd is the mother teresa of the sport trying to set and example making sure the playing field is level" and now this.

Think about what you guys are saying. You dudes are saying that even if Floyd wasn't selling the fights outside of the ring, he would still be getting 800K Plus PPV buys off of his fighting style alone. I mean SERIOUSLY. BE REALISTIC.

I just don't get why he has any fans at all.

Sure he is the greatest boxer of his generation and IMO would bet Pac easily, but he:

                      1) hasn't fought the best opposition
                      2) is a boring fighter, involved in many boring fights that have stunk out the joint
                      3) by all accounts and interviews, a little ego maniac douche.

Now just because he's great boxer don't mean people should like him.
                      I just dont get it.
