I lost respect for the guy since he came back and fought a bloated lightweight not to mention he cheated on the scale. You know Floyd, when he really wants to fight someone he's very loud, ****y, and gets into the guys face just like the Gatti, Oscar, Hatton fights but when there was a talk of him fighting Margarito, Cotto and Pacquiao he didn't wanna open his big mouth. When ever he was asked about a Cotto and Pacquiao fight he'd say they never called me out, and when they did he was quiet and was no where to be found.
Floyd didn't wanna fight Shane. He was forced to fight Shane because Pacquiao moved on and didn't wanna deal with his bull****. Expect ***** Boy Fraud Gayweather to fake an injury and back out of this fight because this is the fight he might get knocked the **** out.
It took a natural disaster for Floyd to have a fight against a legit WW which he hasn't done for years. And it took more a couple of weeks just to sign the contract.
I don't get it...Floyd moves up to Welterweight after only a few fights at 140 to fight The Ring Welterweight Champ (Judah) before he was shot, at he's not fighting the top welterweights? And after fighting him he called Mosley out, but Mosley declined after HBO put the money up for the bout three times because of a "tooth ache", even though he was well enough to fight Luis Collazo shortly after. Floyd was also offered 8mill to fight Margo, WHICH HE AGREED TO, as long a he was able to fight the undefeated cash cow Cotto for 10 afterwards. However Arum's highest offer for the Cotto bout was 7mill, which makes no sense. That's like fighting Pacquiao for less money than fighting Mosley. Cotto was the cash cow, so he should have been the big money fight. And unlike Arum's ****** such as Cotto, Floyd didn't put up with that crap and left Top Rank immediately. After that the only other options were PWill for lord knows how much chump change or Baldomir for the Welterweight title and 8mill. I'd much rather get a title before fighting someone like that.
So basically Floyd's only REAL options before retiring were Mosley and PWill. Mosley declined and I believe Williams had lost to Quintana around this time and was scheduled for a rematch (or the first fight) so he might have been out of the question. So again, how is this waiting too long. He fought the Ring Champ, then the welterweight champ after a feud with Top Rank, then the #1 Middleweight De La Hoya, and then Hatton. I guess Hatton wasn't the best choice and both PWill and Mosley were available by then, but he was still a decent contender. After that he retired, and then came back to fight Marquez, which I see as more of a tuneup bout and an advantage in the Pacquiao negotiations. And what came after that? MOSLEY!
Haters are easy to spot. Anyone that doesn't acknowledge Floyd's 21 month retirement is a hater. People act like he was boxing between December 2007-September 2009.
The point he is making is that he should have fought the Cotto;s,Marg's,Mosley's etc. of the boxing world when they were all hot and the public was demanding it before he retired, instead he left at that time when there were so many fights that could have been made. he left at a time when the public was demanding these fights, but he retired instead. We all new his retirement was not gonna last.

The thing that I don't understand is that detractors always say, "If he even steps in the ring with X fighter (Mosley in this case) then I will give him credit!"
Then he does that, soon thereafter they come with the, "why should I give him credit? this is what he is supposed to be doing" argument.
Then after the fight, they knock the fighter who they promised that he would never fight.
This is all typical, no use in getting worked up. This is how it is when it comes to Mayweather Jr.
