Whats that have to dow ith that fact that JMM likes to trade and was almost knocked out by Juan Diaz? If he trades with Valero he gets KO'd.

JMM is too old for a beast like Valero, he would get a couple of counters in but he wouldn't be able to deal with Valero's speed and power. I love JMM don't get me wrong but Valero proved Saturday that he's a killer. Diaz had a field day with JMM and he's not a powerful puncher, we have seen the best days from JMM it's all downhill from now on bud.

Marquez would beat him at this point, I agree. But like I said, Valero isn't a finished product yet, he still has technical flaws to iron out and dues to pay before he's quite ready for someone of Marquez's class.

I liked his upperbody movement and reflexes also though. He seemed at times to have that instinct a lot of the topmost boxers have where he can predict when his opponents gonna throw before they have even decided to themselves.
a good trainer helping him work on his defence and developing his right hand would do worlds of good for him but at 28 years old your usually stuck in your ways but you never know.

From what I saw of Valero,I was impressed!!He really knows how to land that left hand, his movement & timing are on point!!Quite frankly, that little ****er reminds me of Pacman!!Demarco is at the championship level right now,he was bigger & has his own power, but I feel that some of those shots that Valero landed made him hesitate quite a bit!!I do feel Valero needs to soak his face in cold water quite a bit to toughen it up cause he cuts real easy!!

i still think he has a few good fights in him at 135 if he stays at 140 it could spell doom for him.

DeMarco was afraid to throw because Valero was countering him more than what everyone expected him to do against Valero. DeMarco at least showed that he's got a solid chin because he took some good shots, but he must of felt the power of Valero like he's never felt before, he was hesitant and beaten to the punch all night, Valero just schooled him.

True, I actually forget how old he is sometimes and just bundle all these prospects together. But he's not overly experienced yet still and he'll inevitably learn as he continues to fight and train at the highest level.

His footwork was superb.. very pacquiao like. The way he uses those feints pretty much puts his opponents on ice.. And not to mention the will, determination, power, workrate.. the guy is going to a nightmare to face.

I agree, he looked like a monster at 135, a rematch against John would be nice, a fight with Katsidis could be a war, and even a fight against Funeka would be a nice exciting chess match.
