I say he's the real deal. From this fight we can deduce that he's very durable, he can take punches well. He also showed a different style, instead of head hunting he punished demarco with body shots.

I notice that demarco wasn't stunned or wobble at any moment... He just got battered by a stronguer man.... Also he needs to be more active!! Him starting so slow against valero wasa a bad strategy, because by the time he decided to let his hands go, he was already a beaten man!!! He could have been more bussy, specially with hid jab,

after that fight i would say valero is the best lightweight in the world, or close to it. he could have some great fights, katsidis, diaz, marquez, would all be wars.

I've seen Valero fight 4 times before this & I didn't think much of him, but this time he really impressed Me...I thought DeMarco would give him a way tougher fight since DeMarco has shown he's a good all around fighter & had the skills to even beat Valero, well I was wrong!..Valero plain & simply overwhelmed DeMarco..Valero didn't get gased(like everyone thought he would)didn't stop throwing punches, didn't get discouraged when he saw DeMarco taking his shots, showed good foot movement & some defense(even thou Valero has the bad habit of keeping his hands low)& showed a big heart when Valero kept fighting with that huge gash(that wouldn't stop bleeding threw the hole fight) on his head.With a gash that big. any other fighter would have quit...& at the end he was humble saying "this was by all, was his best performance but he still had a lot of learning to do"...Hopefully this will open doors for Valero & finally will get him his license back to fight in the u.s....On the other hand in the beginning DeMarco looked patient & seemed to be taking his time, like if he had a plan or was waiting for the right moment to do his thing..But as the fight went on then he looked confused like he couldn't get his shots out & was hesitant to just let loose & let his punches fly, he would throw punch here & there but not enough to do any damage or anything..At the end of the 8th round DeMarco didn't want to come out, he even said "NO" to his corner twice & after his corner ask him if he was sick, if he wanted to continue, or what he wanted to do, DeMarco never answered, so his corner practically forced him to go out & keep fighting or at least try...DeMarco will be back, we'll see what adjustments he's done, if any..

Valero made me a fan last night he's showed me that he has a Warrior mentality and he definitely has a chin because Demarco was countering pretty good at times.
