Valero has everything to gain by getting fights with the likes of Bradley, Khan, and JMM. Funeka and Katsidis are good fighters. But I think Valero beats them and they don't bring big money like those other guys do. Hell, Valero even said in the past he wants big fights and even though his resume didn't really warrant it, how can you blame him. He needs to cash in while he can and maybe move up to 140.

I hope not. I'd like him to clear out Lightweight first. To me, that's what great champions do. Money is ruining boxing as a sport. We need more fighters to put legacy in front of short term money. Those who do so will make more money in the long term in any case, because they'll have more respect from fans.

And lol at the mention of Khan. GPB and Roach won't let Khan go anywhere near Valero!

pac doesn't fight boxers that are ascending or are considered to be in their prime, therefore we will never know.

After the marquez fight team pacquiao looks for fighters that fit these prerequisites:
1) have been ko'd at least once in one of three previous fights (cotto & hatton)
2) are old and past their prime (dlh)
3) are the lowest rated title holder (d diaz)
4) are weight drained (dlh)
5) can get them to fight at catchweight (cotto)
6) have lost the majority of title fights (clottley).
7) fighter is in a descending trajectory


if he can get more than one of the requirements the better the prospect in team pacquiao's ananlysis.

Valero does not meet any the team pacquiao prerequisites, therefore he will not be offerred a fight with pacquiao ant time soon.
