i love how people always say he won a close decision against BHop. I dont care if you were the LHW semi ******ed love child of PBF and Pac, you arent going to look good against BHop. Especially when the ref allows Bhop to throw more head butts then punches and to feign injuries so he could get rest etc...That fight was everything that turns people off of boxing. If 1. fighter doesnt want to fight, the fight looks awful and is boring to most casual fans.

I dont think anyone could say who would win Jones vs. Calzaghe and anyone who claims to know the answer is either full of themselves or is a lover/hater of one of the fighters. Jones was great, its easier with Jones to pinpoint his pinnacle. The best I ever saw Joe was 3rd round against Jones. Joe looked good throughout his career, but he never fought someone like a prime jones and jones looked good up until 2004, but again he never fought someone like Joe.

Calz chin wouldn't allow him to be KO'd/TKO'd, but Hopkins would UD him in a borefest and RJJ would UD him whilst clowning on him for 12 rounds, prime Roy would be much too fast and athletic for him.

Jones would definitely have whupped him. Prime Jones? ****. He would have pot-shotted an advancing Calzaghe all night long. Jones at 160 and 168 had a lot of power too, I see Calzaghe getting busted and bruised up over the course of 12, possibly dropped. He's a valiant guy, quick, throws a lot of punches so it wouldn't be a completely one-sided spectacle, but I'd say Jones 8 rounds to 4 or 9-3.

As for Hopkins, gimme the Hop who trashed Glen Johnson over Joe Calzaghe any day of the week. Points.

Can you name me one top 10 ranked fighter that Johnson fought before Hopkins?

Just curious, because I hear that win brought up a lot.

hated calzaghe but i still thinks he do well agaisnt a younger jones. jones stYle was tailor made for jones, plus calzaghe hit a lot harder in his younger days than he did in his later years. hopkins would always give calzaghe a nightmare time, in victory and defeat, cause he matches his gameplan to specific boxer where as jones goes with what he does best, hopkins was a lot more versatile that way. Calzaghe struggles were using agaisnt the likes of bika, or johnson(thats why they never met), who make the fight scrappy, with a lot of inside work, not allowing calzaghe to do what he does best throw 100 semi punches a round.

Id have to say that I think if Calzaghe fought either Hopkins or Jones 5 years earlier than he did, he would have lost. He still ot knocked down by each guy when they fought with either guy no where near their prime skills.
