how about cotto for you?you can't say he's old a slow. the thing is, pac throws a lot of punches from any angle which mosley doesn't do. this will give pac the advantage to connect with his power punches even with a defensive boxer like floyd.

pac throws a hook/uppercut left hand which hes very good at ,i dont buy the every angle line.cotto was shotto we all knew that before and after pacman faced him, dont act like the magrgarito destruction and the clottey asswhupping /gift decision didnt take its toll on cotto.pac averages 70 80 punches per round which is the welterweight average thats another thing thats gets a lot of play that isnt true, pac isnt a volume puncher hes a very fast and hard hitting puncher. williams, and margarito are volume punchers they average 100+ punches per round in every fight!mosley is better suited to beat both he hits harder and has a better chin than both those guys.pac is strictly a headhunter, if youve seen any floyd fight its very very hard to hit him in the head, and pac doesnt throw bodyshots for ****, so i see him having a very hard time beating floyd.pac doesnt do well against guys that are on the move.he does well with cottos and hattons dudes that just stand there, where his handspeed will be the advantage.

why not its worked for manny for a long time. he has won several belts in several wt classes by making the bigger man lose wt and come down. so he wins a welter wt title by actally not fighting a true welter? this has been happening in boxing for so long its not even funny. look at joe louis and billy conn. conn was far lighter than joe and he was beating joe and would have won the fight but he got ****y and went for the ko insted of continuing to out box joe. so he got ktfo due to his arrogance. all that to say, if they are close in wt it can still be an awsome fight. vic is faaarrrrrrr tooooooo light lets be a little reasonable.

I agree. Someone who can swarm him and get inside can beat him without question. Which is why you have to take the distance away from him. When he's not sitting back in the pocket pot shoting, he's not fighting his fight. The man if I'm not mistaken has had rib problems before in the past, and a fighter with speed and power who can take his shots an rip combinations to the body; can break him down much the way JLC did in there first fight. Mosely I'm not sure if the speed will be there, but if it is; he should win this fight. He has to be physical fighting with Floyd, he has to use his size and power to pin him against the ropes and **** away at the body; make Floyd fight a fight he's not comfortable fighting, and keep the pressure on him every round not give Floyd a chance to get comfortable. If Shane can do this; he'll stand a good chance of winning this fight. Which if JLC could do it, then I see know reason why Shane can't pull it off. Both JLC and Hatton gave Floyd fits when they applied this type of fight, but Hatton obviously was unable to apply his type of fight for duration of the match because of Cortez strong warnings. Which is why if he ever fought Pacquaio, he'd be in serious trouble IMO because Pacquiao has the speed, power, footwork, head/bodymovement, stamina, angels, reflexs, chin, and relentless aggression to take Mayweather's best shots and rip combinations without missing a beat. However I'll leave that alone since that's an entirely different fight in itself. Getting back to Mosely though his speed and power will definitely be a factor in this fight and a few of the keys for him having a chance at winning this fight.

If Floyd buzzes around the ring in similar fashion, as when he fought Baldomir and keeps off the ropes--then he wins by UD--he'd simply have Mosley chasing him around all night and Floyd is still a good counter puncher moving around off his back leg, which is rare athletically for most fighters to be able to do.

I just think Floyd has a lot more options, he can close up shop when he needs to and counter off the back leg when he needs to. He won't allow Mosley to pin him against the ropes, if he does he'll just close up shop and sprint out of there like he's always been able to do. On the other hand maybe Naz can come up with a great game plan and get Mosley to utilize his best assets in line with that strategy.

Pac throws punches from angles effectively that most fighters aren't naturally able to do, his footwork has improved the last two years and it was still good before that. He just possesses an unusual ability to punch from angles where most of his opponents are unable to see where the punches are coming from.

Dont read into that, he carried JMM. He needed the rounds after the layoff. He couldve opened up on im and got him out of there but he rspected him too much and that would looked bad for Floyd beating him up like that. so he made it look like a boxing match.

yeah its true, hindsight is 20 20 lots of people thought it was a reasonable fight due to the fights jmm had with manny.i felt jmm would lose even though hes one of my faves but didnt think hed get dominated like that.manny has actually weighd the same at fight night since the morales fights, hes actually been a welter for quite sometime now, hes had the weight advantege many many times,only difference now is hes fighting where he belongs at welterweight.

IN HINDSIGHT IT WAS A CHICKEN**** MOVE, I NEVER FELT JMM WOULD WIN THAT FIGHT AT ALL, BUT I DID FEEL IT WOULD BE MORE COMPETEIVE. FLOYD DOESNT STRUGGLE WITH SMALLER GUYS OR even guys his size, bigger dudes are the one who will most likley do him in , like the oscar fight displayed, he can be beaten.jlc beat him also only to be robbed.

hey come on boxing fan make up your mind. on one hand you give floyd credit then you take it away. any fighter can be beaten and contrary to popular opinion, i dont think the way to beat floyd is to bull rush him and punch away. his punch is too accurate and his hand and foot speed will keep him out of harms way. i think the best way to beat floyd is to out box him. while thats easier said than done IMO thats the way to beat him. you reference the the jlc bout the first one was questionable in the minds of manny. but what about the second one.jlc was totally out classed and dominated.

pac throws punches in any position where you think its not possible. watch the cotto fight where he kd cotto in the 3rd. round. he throws a left to the body and followed it up with a right hook to cotto's head. name me other boxers who throws awkward power punches and knock down his opponent just like pac.
