He ducked a rematch with Jones, Benn and Eubank had already moved up to SMW when Hopkins was still a MW contender, so he didnt duck them. Ive never heard anything about a possible Bhop McClellan fight, what did you hear?

Hopkins ducked Barboza early in his reign after Barboza kicked the **** out of Robert Allen. Allen, at that time, was dangerous and Bhop wanted no part of Barboza at that time. That was around the same time (1996-1997) when Hopkins fought Allen the 1st time and was getting smacked and roughed up badly when ref Mills Lane shoved Hopkins during a beak and Hopkins fell out of the ring and feigned an ankle injury to avoid stepping back in with Allen, thus retaining his title via no contest.

And when he fought Syd Vanderpool in 2000, he made Syd weigh in on the day of the fight when NO ONE was doing things that way. It deprived Vanderpool the chance to hydrate properly the night before the fight.

I'll say this, Hopkins is a better boxing manager (for himself) than he is a fighter. He made all the choices at the right time. Sheer genius.

No facts at all. Just hearsay.... And you can blame Roy Jones just as much.

And saying that Bernard isn't a good fighter makes this site ****ing trash.

Boxing "fans" claiming they love the sport and know every fighter in and out of the ring when all their "research" is bound to boxrec and youtube and HBO highlights.

Off the Top of my Head he has ducked Calzaghe in the early 2000's and Chad Dawson.

Lol......Hopkins Would have Schooled Dawson like he Did To Pavlik,Tarver,Calzaghe and Wright....end off...The Executioner Takes Not Only your Self Confidence,Mentality But Also Your Soul and He Takes it and Leaves It In The Ring and it stays there according to Oscar De La Hoya...and its true...he Messed Up Pavlik,Taylor,Tarver,Wright,Joppy,Calzaghe etc etc although the fact that he lost to calzaghe on split decision he did but mentally he messed up Joe
