George foreman:a look at his career

simply remarkable career.he had 2 careers in one lifetime.his first career ended at 27 going 40-2.he came back after 10 years to resume his career.he went from a moody, hated, bully to a kind,merciful,well-liked gentleman.after he lost to jimmy young he saw god & retired & the rest is history.in his comeback he reinvented himself.he was calm, patient & developed his jab into a weapon.one of the best jabs ever.he fought 5 former world champs going 4-2 & was in 7 title fights going 5-2.he also lost his wbo title fight(before it was recognized).he fought chuvalo,Frazier twice,Ali,norton,Kyle, jimmy young, qawi, cooper, cooney,Holyfield,Stewart, coetzer ,Morrison, moorer,Schulz, savarese,& Briggs.great career & an atg & icon of the sport...never did by his grill though.one of my favorites as well...once said lennox lewis' was the best ever...he said he ducked him in his comeback years & would have ducked him in his prime.

That's interesting that he said he ducked Lewis and would have done so even in his prime years.

He fought Ali, so that is some damn high praise for Lummox.

A little thing people might not know...those red trucks he wore in the moorer fight was the first time he wore them since the Ali fight...why did he decide to wear them that night? I'll never know

threw that in there because I found it interesting coming from a guy who fought in 4 decades.

I'm surprised that they fit, must have been some pretty strong elastic.

It's too bad we got robbed of some Foreman/Holmes matchups, but I guess without the 10 year break he never would've fought till he was almost 50.

Then again he also said that Audley Harrison would be the next heavyweight champion of the world and that James Page was number 1 pound for pound.
