Why would he sign a contract without having his lawyers go over every single little detail in the contract? Have you ever seen a contract? You probably wouldn't even understand the contract and language in the contract. One word can cause you millions.

They had at least another 4 weeks to get the fight done. GBP is not his boss. He uses GBP because they have a promoter's license.

Most lawyers are not going to waste their weekend on the contract language, when they could do it on Monday/Tuesday.

Floyd's advisers and GBP negotiated the whole contract. The lawyers just double checked everything is correct so the contract holds up.

Arum never made Floyd a contract offer to fight Manny with a 14 day cut off. Why would he sign a contract for 30-24 days cut off, when Roach asked for 5 days and Floyd gave him 14 days?
