I think he could have fought lower caliber opponent, under the guise that he's waiting for the outcome of Pac/Clottey.

An old man who has been inactive for one year and a half is a low caliber fighter. Shane was in his prime a full 12 years ago. If Floyd does not KO him in 3 rounds, Floyd should not be ranked amongst the 150 greatest fighters of all time.

Honestly, I think if Manny fought Malignaggi, Floyd will not fight Mosley. Manny chose the next best thing in Clottey and Floyd was left with no other choice. Mosley said it himself that Floyd was backed into a corner which made their fight possible or something to that effect.

Real talk. That blood testing **** ruined a big fight, but simultaneously opened the door for another one we otherwise wouldn't have gotten to see. If Pac and Floyd both win, they can still do business later on this year. Had Floyd faced and beaten Pac in March as previously planned, he woulda probably retired with his trucload of money and deprived us of the Mosley fight.

Floyd talked about fighting Mosley when he came back out of his retirement. Floyd and his advisers talked to the media late last year about Mosley even when they were negotiating with Pacquiao.

Floyd could've fought anyone else for $15 million and fought Mosley in late June.
