My take on the steroids/peds issue

Since all this steroids accusations are based on speculations, I would like to speculate on the matter from a different perspective.

Manny Pacquiao, Fighter of the Decade, if he is taking steroids/peds, wouldn't he need an accomplice and/or a supplier?
The guy is a boxer, who barely finished high school, can't be doing all this steroids to himself by himself.
If he is using state-of-the-art steroids that is undetectable by current standard testings, he must have a supplier.
If a supplier has such a product, they would have more than one customer.

The point is, there would be more people involve in this conspiracy and it's riskier for it to stay under wraps.
If Manny is on steroids, someone would have come out by now, with proof, and Manny would be in big trouble.
Not to mention the amount of money (i.e. book deals and exclusive interviews) to the first guy to break silence.

I'm not gonna bring up the he say, she say arguments and the guilty 'till proven innocent stance.
This is my take on the matter and believed that this is too big to stay secret. See BALCO, Conte, Mosley, Jones.

If your a supplier or someone involved i'm sure your already getting compensated very well and will continue to be compensated, why risk that?
steroids and professional sports have been tied together for years and most times you don't find out until you get caught or until your conscience catches up with you.

Which is usually years after you retire in most cases. Case in point, Mark McGwire, Canseco.

The public doesn't want to find out or so it has been up untill very recently. Still an operation on a much bigger scale existed in procycling for well over a decade. Hundres of riders and probably more behind the scenes was involved. The public had su****ions for sure, but nobody did anything about it untill it was too obvious.

My post is not only limited to someone ratting on the operation. The more people involve, more likely someone ELSE getting caught and bringing down everyone with them.

Who was the weak-link on the BALCO scandal? and how long did it take to come up with a list of suspected athletes?

                  exactly.

My position is that steroids will always be one step ahead of the testing created to detect it; therefore the testing always has to change to accommodate.

**** Mayweather. **** Pacquiao. Random Olympic style blood testing is good for the sport of boxing, especially when an unfair advantage is a matter of life and death.

true, but in the history of steroids, that's the only case that everyone involved was outed.
