Margarito had his license revoked last February for a year. The punishment came down from the California State Athletic Commission over an illegal substance being found in Margarito's handwraps before the fight with Shane Mosley on January 24. Both should be banned... for different reasons though

Cotto was unstable until that fight becuase he never faced anybody that could take his power and punch back. Even though theres a chance he might of had loaded gloves even though i doubt it because that night margarito didn't have cast on his chin and also his style (pure pressure) was cottos kryptonite. Cotto was never the boxer who was willing to adjust look at the judah fight he got tagged and still had the same style he never made adjustments the only reason he beat judah was because judah wasn't able to take the punches anymore but what about pac and margarito since they could take his punches cotto didn't have any plan b or a backup gameplan he fought rd 1 and the last rd the same way not to mention he was never the guy that could box for the entire 12 rounds.

That was destined to happen to cotto when he faced opponents with good chins specially since his chin was always suspect, hell like the mosley fight didn't prove it cotto was backpedaling the last few rounds and mosley showed how pressure on cotto really worked well.

Wrong.Cotto "back peddled" cuz he knew he had the fight won.He even admitted it at the hbo post interview.Mosley never had him hurt from the get.

No Cotto back peddled cause mosley hit him so hard that it caused him to bleed in his mouth.Cotto was just fronting when he said "he ran cause he felt he had the fight in the bag".Cotto was hurt that`s why he ran. When did you ever see Cotto having a fight in the bag and then start running for the last 4 rounds?

lol bleeding from his mouth does not make a boxer back up.You have to do more then that.Cotto was comfortable. He could afford the "championship" rounds and thats what he did.Mosley was getting schooled just by the jab itself. He wore the wrong gloves that night, wrong game plan.

Fighters step up to the plate!

Proffessional and non professional boxers from everywhere need to stand together and call for the ban of Antonio Margarito. Let me ask you this; If you get a ticket in say...Kansas, you must appear in Kansas to dispute that ticket. Margarito needs to return to the scene of his crime. If that state commisions him to fight again then so be it, but their going in through the back door to get him back into the ring and it's not right. I commend the fighters that are speaking out against Margarito's reinstatement because what he did was unacceptable regardless of if he's still under contract or not. If Cotto would've died from that fight, Margarito would have criminal charges and facing significant prison time. BAN MARGARITO NOW! Set the standard before somebody gets killed at the hands of another fighter, who says to themself, "It's worth the risk of using BRICKS because the worst thing that could happen to me is that I go home for a year or two."

                      BAN MARGARITO!
