Can't you just give Clottey a little step aside money and an undercard fight?

Don't know if it's possible but Mosley-Pacquiao would be great at Cowboys Stadium.

I know promotion already started with Pacquiao-Clottey but think of all the free press and free promotion when the news of a sudden change (for the better) in the main event.

I know it's impossible and maybe impractical but just asking.

He does pretty much have to fight Mosley but not for the reasons that most people bring up, it to me almost completely has to do with leverage down the road because Floyd could really not care about what the public thinks of him and besides the people who don't care for him are not going to be easy to convert so why waste time even thinking about that. Leverage against Arum yea Floyd cares about that a great deal.
yeah people are too much into this "he has to do because of the fans" bs.

if floyd doesn't fight mosley , he'll have no leverage.

That is why all his advisors want the fight to happean they know the deal, beside the fact they get paid more when he fights .

tbh i wouldn't be surprised if clottey signed something allowing pacquiao to pull out of the fight if needed.

of course the thinking back then (if there was such an allowance in the contract) was in case floyd changes his mind.

if arum is willing to give up a little money to make a better , bigger fight with mosley , clottey stepping aside wouldn't be a problem.

i mean arum would make more money with clottey-pacquiao because clottey is top rank too BUT if he wants to think long term......getting a mosley-pacquiao fight is better for him in the long run.

pacquiao-clottey has a possibility of being a bust. that could ruin possible future deals with jerry jones at cowboys stadium and would hurt pacquiao's negotiating position with mayweather if the ppv doesn't do well.

he'll make less money with mosley-pacquiao personally but it'll be better for him in the long run. he can hurt mayweather a lot.

              my take?

roach is trying to emphasize "too much risk , not enough money" in the press hoping mayweather might notice.

              1. if mayweather beats mosley , that ruins a possibility of mosley-pacquiao as an option if mayweather-pacquiao can't get made.

              2. if mosley beats mayweather , pacquiao will lose out on a megafight with floyd.

mayweather-mosley (no matter who wins) is bad for pacquiao/roach/arum.

lesson for you. because you talk as if the only thing that matters is the money.
this is boxing. what stopped pacquiao from fighting delahoya or hatton?
