Fights that make more $$$$ are the ones that get made. The public was screaming for a PBF v ODLH fight and it did 2.4 mil PPV buys. Would HBO or MGM grand pay for PBF vs Margarito over DLH vs PBF at that time??. No....Ross Greenburg would tell Floyd to STFU and fight ODLH.

The public is now screaming for a PBF vs SSM fight...so it will happen. If P.Williams was the next guy in line behind Pac instead of Shane as the biggest dollar fight that could get made.....guess what...that would happen too........it is HBO that is the real shot caller......they may be influenced by guys like Arum and Haymon and fighters who have the drawing power....but ultimately fights that make them more money is the ones they will push for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Floyd + Pac = the 2 biggest names in boxing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 2 biggest PPV generators in boxing!!!!
Mosley to use an old analogy...has already put in work, he is deserving of a big pay day. These money arguments are silly, what do they have to with the everyday fan of the sport? You're not on their payroll are you?

Oscar De La Hoya was the face of boxing for the last 15 years, of course there was public interest in that fight...what's not to get about that? None of those fights will happen and you're delusional if you think they would. You really in your heart of hearts think Floyd would even entertain the idea of fighting PWill? Really? You want to know what's a PPV event? Watching Floyd sign a contract.

b/c i understand why some fights happen, and why they don't.....and why certain fights happen at certain times.

once you dudes realize, boxing, like everything else, is a business and a job to these guys FIRST, and fans come SECOND, you won't be so upset when fights fall apart.

i'm a fan of the sport, but i'm able to say **** it, and keep living my life, when fights don't happen. ALL these dudes are trying to get paid. understand that, and this **** won't make you so upset.

Obviously but that is for the power brokers of boxing to argue over, not everyday fans who demand that the best face the best and not negotiate themselves out of fights, then turn around and blame the other guy for the fight falling through, when we all know there was never any intent to fight in the first place. You're asking everyone to believe in the integrity of Mayweather when Schaefer who is his co-promoter can't even get his name on a contract.

That's fair and when your boy receives criticism for fighting for money first over legacy, then don't get upset when he receives criticism. That's fair also right? Fans don't preoccupy themselves with someone else' paycheck. Reminds me of broke kids on hiphop sites arguing about record sales, but they can't even afford to buy themselves lunch. By the way I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I can guarantee I know more about the business of boxing than you do.
