nice article, but dougie contradicts himself, and comes off as another hater....
floyd-hatton did nearly a million buys, so if that doesn't equal public demand, idk what gets the job done.....he also states there was no public demand for hatton, and mayweather was largely unknown until just before that point.
well if that's the case, cotto and margarito were defintiely unknown, so there had to be absolutely NO public demand for either of those fights.
the baldomir thing is easy to figure out. floyd-judah was being hyped long before that fight, so once judah LOST to baldomir, had floyd fought judah after he lost to baldomir, and completely looked past baldomir and never fought him, floyd would've been crucified....so he fights him, makes it look easy, and he still gets crucified.
if dougie can name 5 other writers (besides himself), that think shane wins this fight, i'll give him $100.

I think Floyd is great, but when he could of fought guys like Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Cintron (who was undefeated at one time), Hell even Quintana who was undefeated, Clottey, or Paul Williams, instead he fought Baldomir and Marquez, I can't see how you can defend that.
