Do you believe this statement about Fernando Vargas???!!

This was something that someone posted in another thread. I can believe it. thoughts?

Trinidad fought an inexperienced kid and went through life and death with him before picking up one of the most impressive wins of his career.Had Vargas had two more or three more years of ring experience, then he would have beaten Trinidad,De La Hoya and any other fighter at 154.

Yes he wouldve. I still dont know if that makes him great or anything but he was a good fighter. I think even with his limited experince he wouldve beaten that version of Oscar and couldve beat that Tito if he wouldve just stuck to boxing and not started brawling with him

I don't know if Vargas was ever gonna be level headed enough to beat Tito, but he had the tools, and IMO pre-tito Vargas beats Oscar.

Vargas was a damn good counter puncher, he knew how to slip. At such a young age he was that talented, he had it all, but I think he was thrown to bottomless pit way too early. I strongly believe he could have.

Still though, Tito deserves all the credit in the world, Vargas was game that night. The question is, how good would Vargas have gotten with a few more years of experience?
