          calzaghe refused to fight the great phantom sven ottke. 2 guys in the same division at the same time each with 21 title defenses? that should tell you all you need to know about joe calzaghe. he never wanted to test himself. and now people try to rewrite history and claim he's ducking hopkins and jones? please check yourself. it's like in ten years saying mayweather ducked saul alvarez.

            The fact is Hatton did fight them.

            You refuse to answer my question;

            Did Hatton fighter tougher fighters then Calzaghe?

                I cant believe people are sitting in this thread and acting like Lacy , Kessler and and past prime Hopkins is better then stepping through the ropes with Paulie, Mayweather, Pac, Collazo, and Kosta. Not to mention hatton will have ANOTHER tough fight in his comeback.

                Calzaghes resume is a joke.

                  OK fine yes Hatton fought tougher fights cuz a prime Hopkins and a prime Jones did not want to fight Joe... So if that makes Joe look like a joke cuz 2 prime ATGs did not want to fight him then he is a joke... But, I am curious if Floyd and Pac refused to fight Hatton... Would that of made Hatton look like a joke also?

                  ATG list Joe>Hatton...

                    those articles have been debunked as false. calzaghe's own promoter has come out and said calzaghe was scared to take risks and forced him to setup easy fights. there were never any serious offers to fight hopkins and jones. calzaghe was so insecure he pulled out of fights numerous times. he pulled out against glen johnson twice. its called hyping up a fighter. you will notice a pattern in calzaghe's career. he's almost about to fight someone good but then boop! look what happens he doesn't. guess it's always his opponents fault right? and you seriously believe that. pathetic.

                    Calzaghe and Warren scrambled to plug in a foe for the date saved for Hopkins, and Calzaghe wound up downing Armenian Mger Mrktchian (TKO7) and giving the Hopkins romance a rest

                    classic bait and switch. tell the fans they are gonna fight hopkins then switch the opponent at the last minute when tickets have already been sold. this is especially repugnant as there was never even a contract to fight hopkins only verbal talks. i feel sorry for the fans the most. they got done in over and over again by this kind of bull****. some of them like you still believe it. so easy to fool.

                      Thank you. This is all I need people to understand. Hatton brought his ass to the states and fought the BIG names. Why in GODS name would Hopkins or Roy in their primes fight some dude overseas.

                      Hatton came to America and got it popping. Joe couldve did the same. Which is why Hatton makes him look like a joke.
