No **** man, some guys have short careers others don't. That's why floyd's statement is 100% ******ed.
It is not ******ed because that is boxing convetional wisdom especially regarding the lower classes.

People are different so people do peak at different times but to me what he said makes sence.

        Its a wash.
He's not faster. He's nearly as fast but not quite. Mayweather also hasn't lost much speed or strength as he's moved through the weights. Floyd is also pretty much as fast as he ever was, and he was the first fighter ever to physically dominate Hatton.

Like Pacquiao. Floyd was fighting at 106lb when he was 15, and Floyd moved up to Welterweight a lot sooner than Pac did.

Pac's knock-out power at the higher weights is due to the fact that fighters don't see the punches coming. At higher weights, fighters aren't used to facing that kind of speed and his unpredictable angles. Pac has always had a more explosive style than Floyd, and now that Roach has made him into a more complete fighter than he was, he can use his power more effectively than before. But if Pac's ability to move up in weights is su****ious, then Floyd's ability to do so is at least as su****ious, especially as Pac started off as a homeless, half-starved vagrant with no training to speak of, who had to grow into his body - whereas Floyd has never gone hungry and has always had good training.

People talking about getting better with age, sure that happens... but rarely to the point that with age you some how retain about the same speed, but also Increase your power to the point that your power surpasses people that fight naturally at a higher weight. Dont think he's on anything, but lets not act like was Pac is doing is the Norm.

In a fighter's career, a fighter starts off good and he's good until the end of his career or a fighter starts off good and then goes downhill towards the end of his career. A fighter doesn't start off like Manny Pacqauio, just ordinary, and then once he gets over the age of 25 he becomes extraordinary fighter. It just doesn't work like that in this sport of boxing."

implies that he opted out of the Pacquiao fight because he regards Pacquiao to be an extraordinary fighter and instead chose to fight Shane Mosley, a fighter 'going downhill at the end of his career'.

Thus, it's safe to say that Mayweather is fighting an over-the-hill, shop-worn, punched ticket fighter.

So, where's the glory in Mayweather beating Mosley?

Pac was a world champ at 19, and by age 25, had already become a three division champion -- two of them lineal. One of those lineals he took from the hands of one of Mexico's GOATs in Barrera, back then a top 3 P4P-rated fighter.

We all know Floyd was a fan of Pac, so it's a little stretch to imagine him becoming one without knowing of Pac's achievements.

Given that, what would you call him for maligning the guy's name over and over?

His power hasn't increased, his effectiveness has.

The point isn't whether it's the norm or not. The point is whether it's so incredibly unknown that you have to resort to explaining it with drugs. And it simply isn't. Especially when you take into account his background. And given that, in the absence of any actual evidence, to resort to that explanation is nothing short of a malicious smear.

The nature of the sport dictates that fighters usually do not get better with age because of what the sport takes from fighters and smaller men do not take teh punishment as well as larger men.

It is not impossible but it is a pretty unlikely scenario.
Kinda skipped over a point of mine. Answer this question - is pac FASTER now than he was when he was in his early 20's. Was he faster against cotto than he was at the lower weight classes.

Pac is TECHNICALLY better now. That comes with age, experience and a great trainer. Doesn't necessarily have to come from roids.

That's why floyd's statements are ******ed.

                      I can't believe it!
Mayweather is Now Mr. CLEAN & Mr. FAIR!

Where recently, he has CHEATED on Juan Manual Marquez in his last fight!
Yes Ladies & Gentlemen! Despite having already a big advantage in Size, he decided to cheat and go bigger by 2lbs at the weighin before the fight!

That's what you call "Playing on the same Level Field"

                      THANK YOU!
