Athletes in this era know much more about training and nutrition than they did in the
30s and 40s. For an athlete like Pacquiao who is very disciplined and careful about his regimen and diet, it is natural to gain in strength and improve with age.
The athletes who decline are the undisplined ones who let their weight go way up between fights, who don't train all the time and don't train very hard when they do train.
People who take steroids are often heavyweights over 200 lbs. A smallish boxer like Pacman doesn't appear to be on roids at all. He achieved what he has in the right way. PBF is just afraid and creating a straw man for all his nonthinking backers to strike at.
This is true.......but i think Floyd was referring more to the increased power and speed over time.......

The truth is Floyd Jr. & Pac's built both a welterweight since 2006.
What do you think a welter-wt's true weight is? Around 160. So that logic is ******. Most light-wts walk around at 140-150 and? Floyd is not a natural welter-wt. He's probably more of a jr-welter-wt.Last edited by Sugar Q; 01-31-2010, 09:36 AM.
