the pacquiao bandwagon came around in the u.s. around 2004.

right after the barrera win in 2003.



all these ***** kids weren't around yet. floyd didn't have a huge following 'til after 2007.

before delahoya 2007 , most guys liked floyd. floyd had very few haters back then. he had few nuthuggers too though.

most guys like me and others , liked him enough or at least didn't hate him. everyone thought he was skilled. could be the next roy jones but more polished. could be the next pernell whitaker. stuff like that.

the ****** floyd fans didn't come around 'til after 2007 and after wwe and dancing with the stars.



his nuthuggers don't realize that though because they weren't around. they think that because floyd was a champion earlier and was top 10 p4p earlier , that floyd has had fanatic fans way before pacquiao. not true.

I think Mayweather got his big boost when he massacred Gatti in 2005. Since then he's been brash with the media and has been a source of attention for boxing. Most of the Floyd fans did come out around early 2007 though, but still, it's been 3 years now.

not true. pac has had tons of non-filipino fans since barrera in 2003.

maybe it's because i'm in los angeles and a majority of the hardcore boxing fans i've been around (office , gym , at the bar etc.) are mexicans and they followed barrera and morales hardcore.

(usually the morales guys liked pac a lot after he beat down barrera and the opposite happened in 2005 when the barrera fans rooted for pac against morales)

I can't wait to see all the people who say that either:
A. Floyd is the most overrated fighter in the last decade if Mosley wins.
OR
B. Mosley was shot to **** if Mayweather wins.

This place used to harbor some decent discussion... it's pathetic now.

Too many haters on here. Pac and Mayweather are the most popular (and hated) fighters nowadays. But if they both retired soon, people on here will find someone else to hate. Williams, Bradley, Khan, Lopez, Gamboa, Ward are going to be taking over soon and whoever is on the top will feel the hate. I am curious to know the average age of the people posting.
