how anybody can give kahn **** for this fight is beyod me. and can only be seen as blind hate.

jmm is a much tougher fight than maidana.

Kahn must go in to this fight the underdog.

i give full props to amir for wanting this fight, jmm is very dangerous.

Kahn could come well and truly unstuck here. Jmm is a great counter puncher and he will most definatly test kahns chin.

This can not be seen as a duck, although maidana carries alot of power jmm stands a much higher chance of tagging kahn with hard shots.

I love this fight for kahn and will deffinatly be rooting for him it would definatly be a more meaningfull win than maidana.

But some people would still find a way of discrediting Kahn if he beat pac and mayweather on the same night.

There is only tough fights ahead for Kahn, although he is much improved under Roach he is still learning the game and as a champion its gonna be a very steep learning curve.

i have Kahn buy close decision but thats comes from my heart not my head i would not be suprised if he loses by mid to late stoppage
Marquez is a tough fight because, he is tough to KO and could sneak a ponits win, but Khan is happy to take it because he knows there is a slim chance he'll get tagged, if Marquez could even hurt Mayweather when he unloaded on him, whats the chance of him hurting someone who has the body and frame of a bloody middleweight???!!!

Marquez will probably be a test yes, but my point is that Khan needs to stop fighting small men.

Khan's career is boring as ****. Who cares about a bunch of hand picked opponents endorsed by the all seeing Roach?

If he's not going to fight Maidana, a dangerous challenger with a big punch and an even bigger heart, what's the point.

It would not surprise me one bit (as Roach is involved) if Khan ends up fighting Morales and Marquez.

If Khan doesn't fight Maidana - HIS MANDATORY - he can go **** himself, blatent ducking pure and simple, i don't care how dangerous Marquez is, i don't care if Khan fights Vitali next, he is ducking his mandatory!!!

          Why????

          Cos Marcos Maidana can punch.

Give Khan a break will you. Roach mentioned that he needs 1 or 2 fights before facing Maidana. Khan is not ducking or cherry picking and Roach is not a fool sending Khan to losing battle. Khan at this point of his career is not ready yet to face Maidana, can't afford him to panic in ring if caught in a bad situation against a dangerous fighter for one false move and bam lights out. When Roach sends his fighters to battle he sends them prepared, giving 50% or more chances of winning.

Marquez is a god damn featherweight!!

Why isn't he fighting guys his own size for once like Welterweights or Light Middles??!!!!

He is a champion now, not a green contender!!! You wanna be a champion, fight like one you *****!!!!!!!!!!
Marquez is a great fighter but his best days were at featherweight. He will be fighting Khan at light welterweight a weight Khan has to strip down to (Khan IMO weight wise is now suited to be a natural welterweight). That means Marquez is fighting 3 divisions above his weight when at his prime. Most people don't have a good understanding of the lower weights but lets put this another way ,if Khan is a light welterweight (forget about him being a natural welterweight) it would be like him fighting a middle weight going on light heavyweight. Khan has fought too many old and small fighters and this undermines his credibility and leads himself opens to legitimatate critiscm. If you watch the Barrera fight (he is the same size as Marquez) the disparity in size is very marked and noticable and verges on the ridiculous.Marquez will be Khan's toughest fight to date but I for one would like to see him fight a young fighter closer to his age and size. Then we might be able to see how good he potentially really is. But it seems to me his style is very suited to taking on smaller shorter challengers but against boxers his own size he is going to have problems as demonstrated by Prescott who was taller than him. In that fight he looked a bit confused in the short time it went on and did not seem to know what to do against a taller man.Marquez is going to be a tough fight for him but he needs to stop fighting bums and good old little uns and fight legitimate fighters in his own weight division. But the first time that opportunity arose in Maidana he passes on it. I he continues with this pattern he is going to have problems when he faces someone his own size because he would have got used to holding all the physical advantages and he won't be comfortable fighting on level terms.

What are you people talking about???

Stop making excuses for him, he is the champion, not a contender anymore, if we isn't willing to defend the belt he shouldn't have gone for it to begin with, that is not the defenition of 'champion'.

Do not compare Amir Khan to warriors at war.

Don't compare Khan to warriors like Marquez, Ali, Froch or Duran or Gatti those guys fought everyone those are warriors at war, not Khan!!!

                      Is this fight confirmed???

if it is then Kahn is about to take a massive step up In competition in what will be his toughest fight to date.

Fight a pound for pound top 10, whos last fight was a 12rd decision loss to arguably the best fighter of this generation in the weight class above

and still he gets hated on.

I wonder if Kahn fights Maidana next and beats him convincingly, would he get his props or would it be a win against an over rated young fighter and "Kahns to big for LWW any way he should be a WW"

Haters will hate, thats what they do.

I for one think a fight with either deserves props win lose or draw as long as he doesnt get owned.
