You think Mayweather would ever take a chance and fight a guy like Sergio Martinez? In terms of contextual arguments, we're comparing taking on challenges....

Floyd isn't even the biggest welter or strongest welter......he could prob still make 140...but eats too much junk food.....why on earth are we comparing him to 154 pounders.....he has never fought at that weight...even hen he fough delahoya he was only 149 on fight night....

And Bob Arum knew that. So they had no reason to give into Team Mayweather's demands. Anyone who thinks Arum isn't the best promoter on the scene is super dumb. Pac is small enough to go down to 140 and that division has plenty pickings. Mayweather can't fight anyone that's not at least a welter.

Lol really? So he liked paying money to not make weight against Marquez, that sounds like a bright move.

He can't make 140, that is delusional to think so even for you. I'm comparing the courage of fighters and their taking on of challenges, many other fighters were 147 and moved up...Mayweather fights at 147 right? If he could make 140 then why not drop down and fight Bradley or he could have fought Hatton at 140? But you and I both know very well he'd make Bradley come up in weight, so that is nothing more than an empty suit argument.

We can conference call the Mayweathers tomorrow Jeff or Floyd Sr and ask them both......I guarantee you I know what Jeff would say, crackhead is another story.

Pac can make 147.....why ask Cotto to come down to 145??? IS he not fighting Clottey at 147 and talking about Margarito and maybe a fight at 154???

                I call Hypocritical bull****....

The answer is bargaining power....Pac has it and so does Floyd

You are living in LA LA land.....stop and smell the roses switch...the dracard gets what they want.....bigger split, ring size, catch weight...etc etc

One man asked for an advantage of 2lbs when he was in the division for less than a year. The other man requests advantages when he has been there for five years....I call CONTEXT. Pac just arrived on the scene, May has been on the scene since 2005. Funny how you bring up Pac who has only "spoken" about going to 154, but I when I asked you about Floyd fighting at 154 you immediately went to the Mayweather talking points playbook and said he was really a small welterweight and has never fought at 154. Doesn't it strike you as odd that one guy who has been at 147 for just a little over a year would have the balls to try 154 no matter the choice of opponent, but Floyd gets a pass because he's a "smallish" welterweight?

Mayweather was just unprofessional to think he would make 144 after an 18 month layoff.........he would be able to make it now i beliueve quite easily.....

Regardless he didn't win a shutout because he was bigger or imposed his size.....he outboxed marquez on the outside.......Floyd at 130, 135, 140 and 147 completely outclasses JMM......

Context??? Do you think mayweather wanted to pay JMM 600K so he could have a 2 lb advantage.....c'mon he tried to get there but he couldn't make it easily with an 18 month layoff......

He couldn't do it now if he wanted too, without seriously putting himself at risk, which we all know is his kryptonite...RISK. Either way check I'm off to bed, pops visiting from out of town. Have a goodnight and good debating with you.
