      nothing....it was all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$
Before that fight ODLH cemented himself as an HOF'er and put in work, he even went to middle to challenge himself against Bhop, at least he took a chance. Pac has put in work before and now.

You think Mayweather would ever take a chance and fight a guy like Sergio Martinez? In terms of contextual arguments, we're comparing taking on challenges....

If Mayweather made the right decision all those years ago, why is he still getting ripped for it by everyone but Mayweather fans?? Because he made the wrong one. And Mosley may be a step in the right direction. But it's almost too little too late. What if the Pac fight can't be made (that's a legit question since both camps say they're not budging on their testing stances)? Who's left? 147 is fizzling out. Cotto is retiring this year. And even if he fights Cotto, Cotto is only a shell of himself. Margarito is done so he's out. Who's left at 147 for May to fight?? No one. 140 is the new 147. He can't fight them or he'll be taking on smaller fighters. There's an old saying, "Strike while the iron is hot." Unfortunately for Mayweather, he decided to grow balls when the iron went cold. His only option is to move up.
Well, Floyd went for that paper. Can't really blame him though
considering you got guys out there like Clottey and Collazo
that fight everyone and never seem to quite get a break
with now exception to Clottey. There is a argument of Floyd
not fighting the best COMPETITION at 147 but at the time
which fights made sense? Judah and Baldomir. Cotto actually
fought Judah after Floyd but nobody seems to remember that
and many chalked that up as one of Cotto's most impressive
wins. All I'm saying is Floyd did his thing in his career and you
can't take that away from him. People continuously talk
about him at 147 but he fought at 130/135 and is going down
in boxing history as one of the best at Jr Lightweight. He just
got famous and lost his hunger a lil. There is an argument to
be made that Floyd did try to fight Shane and Cotto. I understand
you saying the fights didn't happen but you can't disregard that
he never tried to make them happen and that's my point. To
me, Mosely now even at this stage is a tougher fight for Floyd
then Pac and Cotto. Funny thing is now Cotto is entertaining
the idea of retiring and he is only 29 and people already talk
about him in the past tense. Although he gave so much to
the sport. Anyways, can't wait for the fight May 1st.

I 100% unequivocally believe that Mayweather was forced into taking a fight against Mosley, because I asked you who else would he have fought if he didn't want to lose more credibility?

And yes to your second question....again I 100% believe wholeheartedly and unequivocally that Mayweather was looking for an out against Pac.

One man moves up weight classes rapidly and completely dominates/stops fighters at weight classes that are brand spanking new to him --that is impressive, while the other chose not to take on elite fighters in a division he has called home for five years...context.

Floyd was retired for 2.5 of the five years he was at welter......he fought oscar and hatton in between, something all boxers would do given the chance....all boxers want big $$ fights....look at how many threw their hat in the ring to fight pac and mayweather after the negotiations fell apart.......

He cam back and fought JMM to set up the big money fight with Pac, who backed out over random blood testing......and now mayweather is targeting a big money fight with mosly....he knows it will be a big money fight because of the fan reaction to such a fight....

Mayweather has always been consistent in going after the money.....

              - ODLH

              - HATTON

              - PAC (fell through)

              - NOW MOSLEY

Could mayweather make more money with any other opponent at 147 that isn't pac other than shane....????? the answer is no.....

Listen he'd sooner rematch Ricky Hatton then fight the brother right after with Sharmbe Mitchell as the ref and Henry Bruseles, Chuck Giampa and Mario Lopez as judges for the fight.

                • I agree with you...Flyds back is against the wall..

Sugar is the only man...business wise..physically? Sugar can still KO Jr. to another retirement..

Keep deluding yourself. He fought Marquez because he thought the public would buy into it and it was the easiest option. You think a fight with Collazo or Berto would have ruined a fight with Pac? Story lines are great but the fight with Pac would have sold without Marquez as a common opponent. I agree you basically stated he fights for money solely and nothing else correct?
