      Stevens is from NY. He really had a future ahead of him when he first got in there being one half of the chin checkers. It's really ****ing ****ty to see him taking L's to these guys.

        Props Jesse Brinkley. He has really had a legitimate career post contender and has won some solid fights against good opponents.

          You know ESPN2 may not HBO type fights but they show good matchups that result in good entertaining fights.

            Despite his embarassing losses to Mora, Gomez and Spina, Brinkley has beaten some decent guys in row in very dominting performances. I think he deserves a title shot.
            The way he beat Stevens tonight, including two KDs and a wide advantage in the scorecards, makes him a legit contender to Bute, IMO.

              Waah! I can't believe he lost to Jesse brinkley.. He was really going somewhere blah blah... Dude if he trained harder maybe he would've won... Thought of that?

                great fight,good for Brinkley as well.he fought hard & deserved the win...who would have thought this possible scenario- bute vs Brinkley in Montreal in front of 20000 for the IBF title.

                  espn's Friday night fights has really stepped it up so far in 2010.first the karmazin/Miranda eliminator,undefeated Burgos fighting & now Brinkley/Stevens eliminator! Great main events & next week glen johnson/mack eliminator! Good job espn!

                    It seriously was an exiciting fight. The crowd was electric. Not a FOTY the year candidate but it was really exciting.
