I also was not impressed by Serrano one bit fighting a guy who hasnt fought in over two years.
It sucks cause I was hoping he was going to be a good little fighter from philly but I don't see it at all.

        Stevens fought like an idiot.
Brinkley could of had him out if he didn't have such a lousy jab and wouldn't
of been so scared of getting tagged.

          jesse brinkley is for REAL
he is mentally the best he has ever been in his career now. his mind made him win last night nothing more.
he always had the physical tools to win the contender and to beat every guy he lost to... but his mind wasnt there those nights... he was all worried agaisnt mora cuz it was 3 days after he got cut in the bonsante fight. not many pros take a fight 3 days apart..... then the gomez fight maybe his first big stage fight got the best of him, the nerves maybe and importance of the venue and show.... big show.... then the fights to reid and spina were simply him not being in the type of shape he needed to be in....
now he is back in shape like he was on contender, ripped up... and now his mind has been through 40 pro fights he is a veteran, good defense and GREAT chin, strong puncher. he is solid as a rock bro.

i can see brinkley upsetting bute. but god damn when he choses to exchange with guys, he really should keep his hands up higher. he is there to get hit, and gets hit in his fights. so against a true power puncher who comes 3 minutes of every round, i dunno how he would do. he displayed he has a chin last night against pure power... but he was slick enough to not get caught with big shots for most that fight, id say like 2-5 rounds he really took stevens's best shots.... the rest of the rounds he didnt.. so i dunno

overall, biggest test of his career, this is gunna make him grow even more... needs a good month or two off now. deserved it.. and then coem up here to canada to take on bute hopefulyl june july ish. im pumped to see brinkley fight again

stevens did what he could bud.
brinkley is a good counter puncher, and can hit.
he was stayin really busy and stevens took a lot of shots.

u try goin 12 rounds with a super middleweight top 20 and see if u can take 150 head shots and throw back the whole time. lololol

great fight. A fight that stevens should have won. Brinkley's a seasoned veteran & his experience beat stevens upside, youth, & potential.
