FYI - Lewis won the fight by via GIFT. Vitaly was ahead on all scored cards when they stopped the fight. Vitaly even asked a rematch with Lewis, and Lewis turned it down, a $20M offer. Then retired.

Why not Haye be true to his words, man-up and fight the K2s?

People are hating on him because he is a really really big guy. Believe me, there have been super big heavyweights before who you would never have even heard of, because they didn't come anywhere near being top 10 in the world. Julius Long jumps to mind right away, but there are others.

Getting back on track here, as far as the offer goes, it is low. It would be a really big grossing fight in Europe, would definitely have a really big live gate, and would also pick up decent ppv buys. It is easy as boxing fans to just say "take the ****ing fight, a million dollars is a lot of money, I would love to have a million dollars". You have to think from the perspective of: is it a fair offer given the amount of money the fight is going to make? The answer in this case is a definite no.
I dont agree. hes coming off 2 horrible performances. his stock has dropped. one million is reasonable

Valuev is a huge peace of ****!

Valuev doesn't deserve ****!...The only good thing in this fight would be to see Klitschko KO Valuev in the first 3 rounds...

Why is everybody hating on Valuev? He is not an exciting fighter and lacks a concusive punch sure, but he has solid fundementals that are amplified by his sheer size. Regardless of what people think he is a former two time hw champ!! This deserves a bit of respect and more money than Vitali is offering!!!! Right is right? Vitali wouldn't accept the offer if the posistions were reversed. Whether you like Valuev or not is beside the point...that is still a **** offer. As far as Valuev 'not being a contender' that is rubbish. He would still beat most hw's out there. Maybe that's more of a reflection on the other hw's than on Valuevs skills. But it doesn't change the facts..

Valuev isn't really worth that much. I don't even like to watch him fight.

It's true but I find this so funny for some reason.

C'mon guys, you are missing the point here. This fight is all about clearing the path to Haye and the WBA belt and nothing else.

Sauerland has locked Haye down for the next 3 fights and after Ruiz, Haye will have to rematch Valuev, no matter what he wants, probably for an even purse too. That is the price Haye had to pay to get a chance at Valuev's belt.

So, a rematch between Haye and Valuev, that's gotta be worth a pretty good purse right? Say, at least a million? the british will be watching for sure.

Anyway, Sauerland and Valuev have all the cards on this one. Everybody knows Vitali is after that WBA belt and he will have to pay considerably more than Valuev would make in the rematch with Haye to get Sauerland and Valuev out of the way, for his unification bout with Haye to happen. Vitali will have to pay 2 or 3 times more than his first offer to get this fight donne.

On Valuev, IMO, I'm pretty sure he has generated good paydays for his last few fights, probably something around a million, considerably more against Haye, but I doubt he is seeing the biggest part of that money. Sauerland and DKP must have him tied to a ****ty contract and he ends up picking up the smaller part of the money.

Miserable off Vitali. He is clearly scared of Haye, or he would chase a fight with him.
