Rewatch it.....Oscar was landing on nothing but gloves and shoulders....and trying to flurry in the dying stages of rds to steal them.....the same way he did against Pernell.....This is the fight where Roach realised Oscar "could no longer pull the trigger" as he put it....because even when he pinned mayweather on the ropes everything he did was ineffectual.....

HOPEFULLY will push through & Mayweather will not pull out another dealbreaker with his own rules again.

a punch landed counts, true they didnt all get in but mayweather definitley got tagged, he was out of his comfort zone, its begs the question how would he have done against a prime oscar.

I think this fight is going to ball down to stamina. Shane starts
to gas mid to late rounds and throws punches off balance. I
think Floyd will sneak upper cuts and straight rights in Mosley grill.
But if Shane gets Floyd on the ropes and loads up it could get ugly.
I just don't think Floyd would stay in one spot with his chin out like
Margarito did. Shane has a chance but I think Floyd will be stronger
going down the stretch and will capatilize off of Shane's mistakes.

According to this it has been a done deal for a while.....i guess Golden Boy just wanted to let it marinate for a bit to get more publicity....

When has Floyd ever pulled out of a major PPV event? Floyd/Mosley
could have been happened but am glad it is going down now.

With the win (Henry Bruseles), Mayweather sets up a proposed June bout with WBC champion Arturo Gatti, assuming Gatti gets past James Leija next weekend. Mayweather, however, seems to be looking to bigger and better things.

"I'm told that [Shane] Mosley and [Oscar] De La Hoya are going to 147," Mayweather said. "I plan to join them there."
