It's a risk but it's a calculated risk, if he wins (and Pac wins) the Pacquiao fight probably doubles in terms of earnings for him. Floyd's thinking business (assuming the fight is signed).

The same Mosley that was beaten by Cotto 2 1/2 years prior?

The same Mosley that barely sc****d by a shot Mayorga?

The same Mosley that won't have stepped in the ring in 16 months?

The same Mosley that turns 39 this year?

Sure he's a risk, just not as big as you'd like to think.

No Way. He did the right thing here. There is the potential right now of Floyd and Manny never fighting. Floyd has to create his own destiny now. He did the right thing by moving forward. If he wins this it will place more pressure on Manny if he wins his fight to make it happen.

Let's face it. This fight is the biggest risk Floyd has taken, but Shane's prime was back in 2000 when he fought Oscar at 147. He's not what he used to be and i think Floyd's fans won't give a damn and everybody else will give Mosley a bit of a handicap legacy-wise. Mosley would knock Floyd out if he was 30 years old no doubt.

Then why didn't he fight Floyd when Floyd called him out?

Well Oscar at 154 was a risk, it payed of big time tho, he is the cash cow..

I'd say Hatton at the time was thought to be a decent risk also people seem to forget how much hype Undefeated Hatton was getting..

Is it really his fault that he is so good the 2 champs (at the time) in Judah and Baldo were not risks also?

Fighting Oscar obviously won't count lol. And I'm sure as soon as Floyd wins vs Mosley and makes it look easy (like he did every single fight he was in look) people will be hating again. Don't you guys gets Mayweather makes EVERYONE look like bums?! Watch Pacquiao-Marquez II and then Mayweather Marquez just a couple years later. See any difference? Did Mayweather use the weight to win? No, he totally outclassed Marquez, the same Marquez who gave hell to Pacquiao and lets not forget Pacquiao won that on a single point!!
