Not making a poll anymore because we need some serious boxing discussion and that will just allow people to vote and not explain.
My first exposure to Sergio Martinez was about 4 years ago through youtube after seeing his name associated couple of times with Margarito. After seeing a couple of his fights, I made sure I kept my eye on him since I felt he had the tools necessary to be a name in the sport.
Since his domination of Bunema on HBO in late 2008, Martinez has showed his grit, skill, speed and slickness against Kermit Cintron and Paul Williams. Sure, he didn't win those fights. He got a draw with Cintron and super close loss to Williams, both, which could be argued in favor to Martinez. But he definitely made a great account for himself gaining many new fans. He shows incredible promise and it seems clear to most fans that he will be a problem for anyone in 154 and 160.
But, there are some that are still not convinced. I would like to know what you have seen or HAVENT seen in Martinez that leads you to believe he is more hype than truth?
