If the commissions deem it necessary to impose longer sentences for banned substances, then it can only help deter or prevent frequent use of them if not outright completely stop them from being used.

It would be one more believable if Margarito would stop coming up with different "new" excuses about his lose to Mosley closer and closer to his renewal. He can also be more believable if he would have completely stopped his relationship with his trainer ( because it ruined his career especially if it was the trainer cheating ) but last I heard they still hang out like buddies. I hate Oscar and GBP but I have to agree with him. Margarito should be banned for life let alone put in prison. What they did constitutes assault. Was he asleep when his trainer put those plasters on his knuckles? Did they tell him to close his eyes? What a ****** excuse. What if he killed someone? What would they have said? I'm sorry??? What if he was fighting your brother? What if he was fighting your father? They would be giving other boxers wrong impressions if they allow Margarito to fight again.

What if.....what if........ The fact that he was caught BEFORE he committed the heinous crime of deadly assault with a weapon (fists, loaded or not, but permitted in a supervised boxing match) mitigates against punishing him for what he actually didn't do.

If he had been caught after using them, like Resto, then he'd have been banned for life, perhaps gone to prison etc.

And he would have deserved it. So the fact that he was caught before the fight, should actually be something he should give thanks for.
