If i recall Mayweather wanted a 12-15 million guarantee to fight Margarito and a $10m guarantee to fight Cotto and/or Hatton. This is straight from Arums mouth because he was still with Top Rank. Arum told him that was not going to happen.....ie he would not get that type of guarantee....so Mayweather bought his contract out for 750K....a clause that could be enacted in the final years of his contract.

Mayweather also wanted a fight with ODLH...something Arum would not entertain. So Mayweather pursued and got the ODLH fight after he became a free agent.

Here he is saying he wants to whoop Mayweathwer and Mayweather is ducking this guy and that guy.......but the fight with Pac will not happen as long as they want random blood testing....what a load of ****. Some severe double standards with Freddie.People can say Floyd "dodged" these fighters (Margarito),but I can think of quite a few fighters who have called out Manny Pacquiao and would pose a larger threat to him than his last few fights,yet his team put him in against the easier opposition.At the end of the day,Freddie Roach is spewing nonsense if he is saying "Floyd picks his opponents" and "Manny only fights the best".This fight with Clottey will look like the same fight we have seen in Manny's last several fights-because they are picked based on their styles and limitations,not how competitive it would be or their strengths.

once here are a few names, joel casamayor,juan diaz, nate campbell, zahir raheem,joan guzman, jr witter, vivian harris, ricardo torres, kendal holt,acelino freitasshane mosley, zab judah,luis collazo,jorge barrios. who are these people? all fighters ducked by manny. so before roach talks about fighters ducking fighters he should start with his own who only fights old mexicans or face first guys.he has ducked plenty of good fighters just to avoid looking like he did vs jmm.
