I don't know about the match up between Pacman and Margarito. If Manny didn't want to fight Foreman because of his 5' 11" height, that's understandable (even though Foreman doesn't have a power in his punches but fights tall). However, Margarito is about the same height WITH a granite chin PLUS punching power. There is an obvious mismatch here considering Manny's height and weight disadvantage. Let's not forget that Manny is fighting welterweights in a LIGHTWEIGHT body. I'm sure Manny will put up a good fight but I don't think it's a smart fight for Team Pacquiao. He should fight Mosley next if the Mayweather fight doesn't happen. Then he can have a trilogy with Marquez to get everyone excited and/or even fight Tim Bradley. There are lots of exciting opponents out there that are tough and challenging.

I think the rationale for accepting Margarito is that he gives you the chance to hit him.

Foreman is the same size and has no power but he is not afraid to use his legs all night and stink it out.

Manny doesn't need that. He needs a guy who will fight with him. In this regard, Margarito fits the bill.

You're right about Margarito's power though. People tend to underrate it. He has extremely heavy hands. If Pac decides to fight with him, which I think he will, Tony can stop him late.

well if he cheated against cotto, than he could have very well shaved a lot of years off his career and possibly his life, and took away his perfect record.
