just watched the gamboa fight and i have to say that was an amazing display of athleticism! the speed, the power, the movement was ****in beautiful to watch, he showed poise and persistent percision to destroy a limited but very tough fighter. i am not being biased because he is Cuban too, i am just stating the facts because they are plain to see and i can not wait to watch him fight again because just like rjj it does not matter who he is fighting because he is the show all by himself
Gamboa's athleticism = Roy Jones jr's

I agree, he has supreme natural ability. His body reminds me more of Tyson though, short arms, slightly stocky.Comment

Yup. The athleticism of roy jones, the ferociousness of a pacquiao & the punching power of a mike tyson wrapped up in a 5'5 featherweight package.
If he can develop some more technique, add some defense, & get rid a lot of some bad habits he has all the tools to be a hall of fame fighter.Comment

Gimme a break....before this figtht NOBODY on this site would dare compare him to Roy Jones Jr. Now that he beat up a journeyman and did some show boating he is being mentioned in comparison with one of the greatest fighters ever??
His last 4 fights he has fought guys with 6 or more losses....
relax people!
this kid is good.....wait actually he isnt a kid he is 28 years of age...when Roy Jones Jr was 28 he was the BEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD...Gamboa isnt even the best FEATHERWEIGHT in the worldComment

the man is 28 years old.....if he hasnt developed all of that yet then chances are he wont.....
this kid is good but he is merely 17-0 ...he would have to get at least 20 more wins under his belt to even come close to being considered for the HOF..with the way boxing is these days he will maybe fight 2 times a year...he will be 38 years old if he fights 2 times a year and gets 20 more wins.....with all of those technical flaws you mentioned..I dont see him fighting till 38 years of age all while being dominant

gamboa is the best featherweight in the world. he's the best fighter at 130 as well and would beat anybody at 130 or less except maybe valero in a shootout (if valero can make that anymore)Comment

he may not fight till 38. maybe only 35 thats why i want him to fight the best right away hes ready, still improving and i just don't see any opponents who are nearly as fast or strong as him.Comment
