Where were they at in the first place? It's easy to look good against guys like Ponce De Leon. Penalosa tagged his ass a lot and if Gerry had power, Juan Ma would've bit the dust. The guy doesn't know how to spell defense although I do have to say that Juan Ma has a good punch arsenal. He's gonna need it in the future because we've seen his chin and stamina exposed before.

Yeah but he has stamina problems only because he throws like 2600 punches in three fights. Gamboa gets clocked everytime he gets hit with a clean punch. But seriously, Juanma had better defense early in his career, now it looks like he just wants to ko every fighter he faces, hope thats not the case with Gamboa or he is gonna lose before he has time to get a punch in.

          Ill take the victory.

Many are forgetting Luevano is more technical.Technical fighters take longer to break through then club fighters (mtagwa). But Big props also to gamboa.Sharp fighter.Let the fight negotiations start.
so if its that easy to break down a club fighter like mtagwa why couldnt lopez do it? Before tonight i thought that lopez would beat gamboa but after the way gamboa looked he changed my mind. before gamboa would swing wildly but today he was calm and did not go crazy and look for the ko. he showed good defence movement speed power and would be to much for lopez.

I hate tho say it but nothing exciting is gonna happen because Juanma will duck him the same way he ducked Caballero and now with more reason since Gamboa destroyed the guy that almost gave Juanma his first loss.

there is no excuse for weak stamina and no defense. Juanma is just overated yes he won the fight props to him but has alot of flaws. Its amazing how you had 3 analyst tonight and nobody mentioned the body work luevano was doing on juanma early in the fight and for a moment it seemed to bother lopez i can imagine the damage cabellero would do to him. If luevano would of had power the fight would of been a different outcome it seem he was hitting lopez really good but not with alot of pop just makes me wonder what will happen to lopez when he faces elite fighters. One thing for sure lopez will not be as good as he is hyped or probably ever be a p4p fighter i think his journey will be stopped by gamboa.

That is why i hate bob arum he protects his fighters way too much lopez with that record needs to take some serious threaths like celestino, gamboa or he plans on taking light opponents to fool the public. Even though luevano was a good fighter there is a reson why bob arum matched him with him becuase he didn't had that much power. Same reason why pac fought clottey he doesn't have a ko punch or good workrate. I wonder myself why pac didn't face tim bradley, or cintron as they mention?? one reason was cintron has a devastating powerful right hand and tim bradley is a great fighter overall those are pacquiaos weakness technical boxer and a right cross. Anybody sees the "cherry picking rank promotional company"

Other people hate golden boy because the opposite they throw theyre fighters to soon to the wolves but i think they throw them just at the right time, for once golden boy treats their fighters like it was in the old days prospects faced though challenges and thats how they proved they were elite anybody wonders why there wasn't so many upsets on those times?? because boxers were proven now days you see fighters like khan get upset and figherts ducking such as lopez and everybody acts shocked thats because in reality they are not how the hype, promoters, and media makes them seem to be.

Out of all the prospects the real deal at the end will be alvarez right now he is just 19 he has everything and i would say gamboa he has everything too except his chin i wonder what will happen when he faces elite boxers that can take his punch and punch with the same power if not harder

Gamboa has boxing skills to go with his speed and power. He just relied on his physical advantages too much in the past. If he fine tunes his game even more, he'll prove too fast for Juanma. Those fast combos are just sick!

luevano's ko had been in the hands of concepcion had he not resort to acting. he was faking the low blow of bernabe to earn that dq win. now lopez finished his reign.

nice win but juanma has to fight caballero & gamboa to be recognized as a great featherweight.
