What's taking so long for this to be finalized? Both parties are part of GBP. The issues on drug testing is a non issue for both sides. So what's holding back its announcement?

As I tell people all the time, it takes most big fights a month or 2 to get signed. Berto just pulled out yet everyone think it has to be made immediatly when the fight isnt until May 1st. They arent fighting in March. These are 2 big guys and they dont want one to get over on the other. This isnt Don King pimping cats. This isnt Bob Arum making Clottey sign a crazy contract with only 1mil guaranteed. Both cats think they have the upper hand because they think the other guy doesnt have any choice but to fight them so they are trying to enforce that leverage. Then as always you have Hopkins in Shane's ear telling him not to go for that little bit of money even though Bernard has priced himself out of a ton of fights. It will get done but dont keep going crazy about whats taking so long. This is normal and its actually alot faster than normal

I think this fight makes too much sense to not happen especially after the Pac fight fell through for May..
