anyone who has ever seen a mayweather interview would look at this whole fiasco and know that it's just another one of his stunts. the guy is a complete fraud who is constantly embarrassing himself. arum's biggest mistake was that the instant floyd wanted random blood testing or anything else out of the ordinary he should have just told mayweather to **** off and called the fight off. they got ****** into mayweahter's manipulative games and it did look bad for both sides. they did the smart thing by picking the most challenging fighter out there in clottey after the negotiations fell through. now it's all on floyd. HE HAS TO FIGHT MOSLEY WITH NO BULL**** ANTICS OR DEMANDS (LIKE THE FIGHT BEING AT 154 AND WEARING 10OZ GLOVES) OR EVERYONE WILL NO JUST HOW BIG OF A JOKE HE IS.

...we could get into an unintelligent back in forth but the above point is very valid and cannot be over looked if Arum and team would have appeared insulted by the insinuation and ceased all conversation they would have came off as in control PBF would have more than likely looked like asses and would have more than likely had to back off...This we can agree on.

BUT and this is a big but...They unfortunately stepped through the door and began to make some of the most collossal misteps in the history of boxing...and this is where we need to begin our dicussion...

My question to you is - You appear to be a big Pac fan and I can respect that, but why does it appear that you're OK with everything that has been said and done by Pac and his team??? Is it because PBF and team had the so-called audacity to ask Pac to take the tests??? Does that really make you that upset??? because this seems to be the thing that gets MOST Pac fans upset??? That and the bickering over PED knowledge, who's better, scared, etc,...

Why isn't the focus ever on what currently been said??? Or does any of that matter??? Because if it doesn't it makes no sense for us to have any further conversations.

There's alot MORE to discuss about what's going on now rather than why PBF asked...right?

Everything Mayweather has done is to line up a mega fight with Pac. He announced his return at Pacs press conference against JMM....an opponent Pac could not beat clearly.

JMM call out of Mayweather was staged by goldenboy for this purpose. This was the first step in hyping this megafight. Whip JMM so the fans woukld start talking May vs Pac.

Floyd Sr was ringside watching the Cotto vs Pac fight. Why would he bother???

The very second Pac beat Cotto, floyd was on sky sports giving a 30 minute interview detailing how he would beat Pac with ease. If thats not hyping a future fight i don't know what is........

Ellerbe and Haymon (who Arum does not deal with) recused themselves from negotiations and handed it to Schafer to get this fight done, given bad blood btw Floyd + handlers and Top Rank.

Roach initially said random testing would be no problem after it was discussed very early in negotiations. This changed pretty quickly

Roach was telling everyone who would listen Pac would kill Floyd, but he dosen't think the fight will happen because mayweather is difficult to deal with in negotiations and will ask for too much money. He started backtracking quickly once he realised Floyd wanted this fight.....saying things like March is too soon and he needs more time to prepare for floyds style given he is so diff from Pacs previous opponents.

A 50/50 split was agreed upon.

Floyd also agreed to 8 oz gloves. In Nevada both fighters must agree to 8oz gloves, else the rules are to fight with 10oz gloves.

At this point team Pac try to throw a spanner in negotiations with a 10 mil per pound over the limit penalty. Floyd accepts promptly.

It is at this time the issue of a random testing gets traction. Essentially Roach and team Pac now have a problem with it, when initially this was not their position.

they insist on a 30 day cut-off. they move down to 24 days after Greenburg calls them out after having seen the Pac v Hatton footage of Pac getting tested 24 days before that fight. Team Pac are already talking about fighting other guys despite negotiations continuing.

every reputable doctor in the field of PED's details how a 24 day window is too long. Even Dr Caitlan whom the *******s used to initially defend Pacs position with regard to testing details how 24 days is a joke.

Mediation fails and Arum goes into damage control. The impartial mediator calls Arums recollection of the mediation process into question ever so diplomatically. Basically Arum lied.

Mayweather reveals they offered a 14 day cut-off prior to mediation that was rejected.

Arum calls this a lie. Well why not call Mayweathers bluff??????

Looking at this chain of events it is only a ******* who would say Floyd ducked Pac.

Mayweather could not have possibly known asking for random testing would sink this fight like the titanic hitting an iceberg???

Well if i had one critique...I'd lay off calling people *******s...even if they call you names...This is the same immature stuff that they accuse PBF of doing...You made plenty of valid points, that most rational people can easily follow and clearly understand...but the dialogue never goes anywhere because they feel the need to retaliate with name calling and the circle of bullcrap begins...I simply ignore those who start in on the **** and respond to those who come with some type of knowledgable response!

Yeah that's true. It would be a good fight though since they both have no defense or any real technique other than come forward and throw punches and they both beat your miguel jotto that doesn't know any better than to quit when he's getting his a$$ handed to him.

This fight would be entertaining for those reasons. PAC wins a wide desicion or Margs corner stops the fight he has no answer for the speed but he will not let up. Cotto did look weak mentally his last three fights but he was a good champion with wins over great fighters so no need to trash the guy.

Why does Arum keep saying that his own fighters are going to lose to Pacquiao? He's saying it about Clottey and now Margarito. I guess he's just being truthful, but why say it in public? Then again, casual fans don't read this **** anyway, so maybe it doesn't matter.

Well put. This was a very good and informative post. I also noticed this chain of events. I'm hoping they are just trying to add more hype to their fight for the summer. I am allowed to dream lol.

It's difficult for die hard fans of both fighters to gauge the situation objectively since the info that's disseminated to the public is often unreliable. Top Rank and GBP are going to spin things at top speed and sometimes that means talking out of their asses like stumping politicians. The reality of the situation is probably somewhere in between the two extremes. All we know for sure is Floyd and Manny aren't fighting on 13 March. The lack of transparency in this sport is disgusting.
