Dirrell didn't deserve **** for the way he pussied around in that fight. He will have learned a valuable lesson from it - that constant holding, turning your back, falling on your knees and moaning to the ref doesn't score you any points.

There were three awful decisions that stood out last year.Martinez vs Cintron,funeka vs Guzman and froch vs Dirrell.


You will never hear a convincing argument as to how froch somehow deserved the decision because it's impossible to make without sounding like a moron.


Have you noticed how the froch apologists will only point to Dirrell's "negative" style and what he did wrong rather than what froch himself did right?


Anyody who can score a fight(and it's not difficult) would have scored it in Dirrell's favour by a wide margin due to Dirrell's clean effective punching.

Why should he have? He outboxed froch throughout the entire fight throwing and landing the far cleaner,more effective punches.

Completely agree that Dirrell should have won that fight, Froch landed very little in the way of effective punches and looked amateurish the whole fight, but Dirrell lost that fight for himself by fighting ugly, he had to make a statement for the hometown to not give it to Froch.

These so called boxing fans will cry,piss and moan at a decision they don't like in a close fight,and yet they will ignore and apologise for a bad decision just because the victim didn't do enough to please them.

I don't like Paul Williams(which is perhaps why you made this post) but I can accept that it was a very close fight in which I thought that Martinez deserved the nod but no respectable case for a robbery can be made in such a close fight


It doesn't change the fact that Williams lack of fundamentals were exposed once again by a boxer who didn't provide a stationary target for Williams.
